Yes and no. I certainly don’t care about 90% of what I wear. It’s utility. However, my suits and few high end shirts I enjoy wearing-I take extremely good care of. And I’m quite particular on purchase paying very close attention to stitching quality-with a close eye on buttons.
As to lingerie-man I’m a sucker for stockings, garters, no panties and gorgeous bra sets. It is true I have never, will never notice the quality of such garments😂. At the end of the day, as per a previous reply to the OP-this is all very personal and how it makes the wearer feel.

Whoa there Ms Lady L. Some of us (ahem) gents do care about what we wear, who made it, and no, it does not end up on the ground.

Years back in one of my LTR's that turned into a medium TR but that is another story, I was introduced to the garment/fashion industry. She pointed out to me how the vast majority of men present themselves in public, and it does not take much of a drive, walk, whatever around the Vancouver area streets to see how the brotherhood is dressed. She went through my closet like a hot knife through butter but the thing that stung the most was "where are your shoes" as she perused the 2 pairs of loafers, couple of runners and my cowboy boot collection .... Anyway, several grand later, my wardrobe was cleansed and refreshed and I was looking better than I had had in decades. I thank her for this mid course correction and now I at least look at the label before it is draped upon this body!!

Re how we look at our women, yeah, you got that. Look nice, perform well, fantastic. I always make a lot of allowances for wonderful mammaries but that is just me.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. I'm a simpler is better kind of guy, but that being said I have and will continue to buy lingerie for my partners if they like it. The way they feel when they wear something that they enjoy is something that is well worth the time and expense.

Definite difference between wearing something for yourself and wearing something for someone else. If she asks me what I want her to wear, the answer is something comfortable or nothing at all.

I find wearing outfits that could fit a certain scene in everyday life drives me crazier when it comes to the turn on factors. If a lady I book is completely naked right away it takes away from the mystery and fun of stripping away the clothes. Nothing like grabbing a beautiful bum in tight jeans or a skirt.

Over the black friday period, which now seems to last 10 days now for some reason, I saw plenty of ads for high end lingerie online.

Honey Birdette, Agent Provocateur, that kind of thing. Now I am old and not the target market at all, but the prices of this stuff are outrageous. Some of it is flattering and attractive, but some of it looks like overpriced crap, at least to my eye.

I don't get it, admittedly a male perspective. It is super comfy? Much of it looks quite complex and uncomfortable to wear. Is this fashion gone amok, just scamming ladies?

This is a sincere question, some of these things are $500 to $1000 for what looks like about 10 bucks worth of fabric and sewing. I am leading towards scam, or at least overblown hype.

Some lingerie is in fact A SCAM! Having to purchase the top and bottoms separately is such a 🤕 and the intricate, high end designs are $$$ and you have to be SO CAREFUL handling them. Partner throws it in the wash unknowingly and they’re no longer the same. I do find lingerie very sexy though and I love wearing it! I love seeing clients face when they walk in the door 😚 some lingerie looks so sexy I arguably like my body better with it on 🤭 my trick now is to have a few pieces that can be kept on, like a garter. They’re great to grip onto from the back 😼

Booooo, I am not a fan of lingerie, or even basic bra and panty sets. Talk about uncomfortable. I own sets, only because of certain photoshoots, and my time as a burlesque entertainer, but now they just
collect dust in my drawers, or become dust rags to clean my drawers. As for those "high end" branded undergarments, you're paying for the ludicrous name. And attempting to own the clout of owning them.
There are plenty of Women and men who appreciate the sultry and often classic undergarments, I'm just not one of them.

I recommend CK (as if you haven’t tried them yet) but they’re by far the most breathable panties I’ve owned. Most of my regular undies are CK. They’ve lasted me long too
