How long does it take you to wear out a truck?
Ford 6 months...just stopped running
Dodge 8 to 15 years....5 of them...all front ends, 6 transmissions, one rear end.
GMC 14 years, 2 of them.....injectors every 300,000 Klm.

My truck ownership overlaps, as I have 2 or 3 at a time....TBH I'm a little harder on the Dodges, as they have more clearance, so they are on rougher terrain, but their front ends are not built heavy enough to take the weight of the motor, and how sharp they turn.

The GMC product needs a better injection system, more clearance, and they do not turn as sharp....way to many electronics to handle - 30 weather.....and do they ever rust when exposed to 10 years of salted roads.
The 4x4 transfer case should be heavier.
For long distance, it's the best truck I've ever driven, once I hit the pavement, I turn on the chip, and it'll kick the Dodges ass.....but not available with bench seats....so no pretty little blonde sitting next to you, and road head is very difficult due to the high console.

Never judge wealth by the collar.

Well, it would seem the dealers do. Not so much the wealth, as much as whether they're looking at some tough old birds or fat juicy pigeons.

My wife has been shopping for a used vehicle. I tag along. I've noticed that salesmen love to "mansplain" to her what she needs, as opposed to accepting her statement of what she wants. It doesn't go over well. She can do an instant switch from nice older lady to fire-breathing bitch. It shocks some of the less-experienced sales guys. As we walk away she does another instant switch back to her nice mode, for me.

Would it haul 6 cattle over the connector ...or half of the shitshow highways we have in BC?
I will have a look at them, as I've never considered one.
I've owned one Toyota, and it was to small for my work truck, but I used it as a runner for everything else....it never quit on me, it just eventually rusted its way into the ground, and ended up as a parts truck.
Which in itself is amazing , because I kicked the living shit outta that poor truck.

( for the record ....never buy one of my used trucks, unless you just want it for target practice)
All I can say is Nissan beats the shit out of Toyota for both price and what you get as well as performance.I did a shitload of research before I bought my Nissan Frontier and it came better equipped than the Toyota Tacoma. In a shootout between the Nissan Frontier/Honda Ridgeline/Chevrolet Colorado/Toyota Tacome the Nissan came in first place for horsepower/torque/clearance as well as off road capability. The Nissan was the only truck that had a locking rear differential and none of the other trucks offered a manual transmission.

The Nissan Titan is the proverbial older brother to the Frontier.Bigger and tougher and as I said it comes with a diesel engine option......and Japanese Diesels will run forever.

Consider the Nissan Titan.....maybe go on youtube and see some honest reviews of it.
