Books to Movies

Alot of really good books have made it to the movies.

Like Lord of the Rings, Band of Brothers etc.

What are some books you read, you would like to see made into movies.

For me it would be, Jim Butcher's - Harry Dresden books made into movie(s); there was a tv series Dresden Files.

Also Marion Zimmer Bradley- Darkover novels. Under a blood red sun.....

One of my favorite sci-fi books has already been made into a movie at least twice and I hear a new version is coming out. The previous 2 attempts were dissappointing. Not expecting a lot from the forth coming version. Can anyone guess which novel I'm talking about?
