its a case of fight or flight ... the mightiest of men may be brought to tears by the sight of a beheading! it is absolutely barbaric i dont assume anyone has the background to be prepared to combat an unprovoked maniac. the greyhound is also not filled with as many young and able bodied men as you may think... there are old weak.. drunk... wired and tired bodies.and lets not forget it may have taken a few valuable seconds to register what was happening in the midst of even being able to save the young mans life...

Have you ever looked at what House of Knives and some military surplus stores carry. There are some very dangerous hardware being sold on the streets with out regulations. Even martial arts stores are allowed to sell Japanese swords in Canada without a license.

I dont know how many people there were on that bus and how many were able bodied young men. I do know that the first thing that came to my mind was how did not a single fucking person help the man and they all ran out of the bus, some undoubtedly walking by him as he hacked away at the man's head.

I agree with HMM. I can't say I would have reacted any differently, but I find it laughable that the RCMP called the actions of the other passengers "extraordinary", while the Globe reported today that an elderly woman was knocked down in the rush to exit the bus.
