Has anyone tried the 'Tap and Barrel' in the Olympic Villiage?

The 'Tap and Barrel' seems like an interesting place. Wine from a tap? hmmm.... Has anyone tried this place? Food and beer selection seems ok; nothing spectacular but I am curious about the wine.

Seems like a hit or miss type of place. 50/50 whether or not you're going to get a good experience. If I want a bad experience, I might as well go to a Donnelly Group establishment and save a few bucks. Hate to say it but for Vancouver it seems the only drinking/eating/hangout type of places that have a good chance of offering good service and food are the Earls, Cactus Club and Joeys type of places.

What is odd about wine from a barrel? That is how it is traditionally made.

I've been there but only had some food and beers. The food was average. They do have a decent patio though.

Ditto. Food was marginal but it's got an awesome 2-level outdoor patio. Not sure how well it will do once the weather turns to shit...
