Wishing everyone a happy Canada Day. Thankful to live here b/c we have:
-universal healthcare
-way less gun deaths than US
-women have rights to choose
-beautiful Canadian ladies 😃

Bff is getting major surgery in 2 weeks and it won’t bankrupt her!

Bought shitload of fireworks, all the neighbours have too.

Today is a day to think about the indigenous people who are historically and continually negatively impacted by the European colonization of this part of the world. I won’t celebrate a country that continues to unearth native children’s bodies.

Doggos didn’t mind the fireworks and a good time was had by all. Lots of steaks/burgers/smokies on the barbecues.
We have a neighbour from India who always barbecues and it smells so good. He must be a pyromaniac because he’s out there almost every day year round.

(I know some dogs don’t like fireworks but ours seem i different. More interested in mooching food. )

My male dogs act like they have PTSD from war 😳 so sad . I have to wrap them in blankies till the banging stops . The 2 female don’t even care lol . Crazy dogs ❤

I spent Canada Day at Laketown Shakedown festival in Cowichan Valley, only to see my fave hip hop group of all time....the WU TANG CLAN!! As the headliners, they can do whatever thee hell
they want to do and they requested for the VIP section to be cleared out and only Indigenous folks of the land to be able to stay in VIP!!! I couldn't be more proud of my soul Brothas.
Needless to say, I had prime viewing of my faves and the only one amongst thousands of people to get my shirt signed by all the members present. Best Canada day of my life. (Yup, I'm bragging)

Isn't that the point, to unearth the bodies and find what they died from.

Why can't people just return the sincerity of wishing every Canadian a Happy Canada Day, without invoking fucking politics or someone's elses propaganda.
