Itching for a heated conversation likedeladies? That's okay, I haven't had one for a while.

If you read my first post, you will see that I agree Hamster's writing can be crude and harsh. But, if one were to take all of his writing seriously, then they would also have to acknowledge the other, more (sorry, Hamster) sensitive comments as well. The focus has only been put on the negative, not the entire "persona". I read his comments, for the most part, as locker room talk, things he would not say in front of the woman, but would in a room filled with guys. And yes, he does go overboard sometimes. If it's to get attention, ruffle some feathers, liven up the board, or some other reason - hey, it's working, and this conversation proves it.

likedeladies, you are asking me questions I have no way of answering, and I have never attempted to show knowledge of having those answers. I did state that I was not scared of Hamster, as MissToe posted. You somehow read too much into that.

BTW -I didn't say it was an insignificant embellishment, just an embellishment. Use of the word 'victimization' noted.

Insignificant or not, I read, in your view, that the board is wide open to the use of crude, harsh and (SP) demeaning talk --- we’ll just wrap it up as “embellishment” or “locker room talk”.
Where did I say that it was "wide open"? Where did I say that we'll "wrap it up"? Again, you are reading too much into what I've written. Try again.

Lady Liker...

...lighten up already. A LADY is telling you it is OK for Hamster to do as he does within the overall context of how he does it.

Sheesh, you will be like Candlewax and iLL soon if you let yourself get too wound up. Remember, defending those that don't feel the need for such (or even see the need for such) is not only a waste of time, it looks foolish.;)

Having it both ways....

...is a woman's prerogative . Every GF I have ever had assures me this is the case!

As far as consistency, I like Saffire's consistency......mmmmmm......soft and yummy......mmmmmm.

Kittie...

...most of the bashing comes from iLL from back east. Seems to be on some sort of quest to rid us of Hamster but we haven't asked for such to occur so not sure who iLL thinks he is helping.

We have a few rodents on this board - all good.

The funny part is that I didn't give my opinion. Didn't say it was good. Didn't say it was bad. People read what they want to believe. ;) But they shouldn't believe everything they read.

Abso-friggin'-lutely

People read what they want to believe.
Saffire, VERY true on this board.

Oh, and all this talk about self-actualization - if you do too much of that, you will go blind.

If you think you are.....

am I sucking up to her?
...then you probably are. Part of "being self-actualized".

Observation

Saffire puts forth the possibility that people can be gentlemen in real life and total pompous assholes on this board (I'm filling in between the lines as she presumes we should for them). To cut to the final line, Saffire is deluding herself in a most grievous manner. A gentleman would never act as the Hamsterites do on this board, even if they felt they could get away with; as such, these people are just really convincing in acting like gentlemen in real life to get their way with the ladies and are in truth the pompous assholes they portray on PERB.

Sad that smart people like Saffire are so easily duped.

I'm with Safffire on this one. People express themselves in many ways and it is much more important to understand the message and not get to caught up with the format. I wouldn't expect a dock worker to speak the same way a car salesman speaks, but I know which one I would rather deal with.

Pompous.....

...yup, PiL would know what this is me thinks.

Once again, pal, lighten up and stop trying to start something no one is looking for. If you have such a hard on for Hamster, scrape up $200 and take him out for a date.

Sheesh.

VM....

wow .... PiL .. you are something.
I guess you never did meet anybody who was a totall (sic) ass at the office, and loving father at home.

VM - me thinks PiLL would not understand such a situation. He is all about consistency - he was consistently bashing people without reason and consistently sending silly e-mails to boot.

Now he will be consistenly absent as he spilled too much of his mean spirited candlewax. Guess TERB will have to (consistently) endure him on their own.:p

ANYWAY, most important thing is this thread can get back to assisting HAMSTER and his fund. I see something about African money being available (just got an e-mail on such) - I get $5 million for just providing them with my bank account number. Wow, this is great.:D I will be swimming in it by end of the week as I plan on responding to all these sorts of e-mails!!!! ;)
