I am not a festive kinda guy. For me every day is just as festive or ordinary as any other day. Only day that is significant to me is the independence day (of Canada and my native country).

Every year, I get about four or five (actual paper, printed, enveloped) greeting cards from co-workers. Not because I am special, but because they buy them in bulk and quickly scribble every coworkers name on it and drop it in his/her mail slot.

I also get at least three or four cards in the mail from our suppliers. NOT for clients, but from people whom we give our business too.

What do I do with them? The recycling bin in only 18 inches from my right hand.......

Why waste so much paper and money? Why clog the already slow snail mail? Why? I mean really, why? Only people really benefitting are below minimum wage workers in printing shops in China. I guess, in a way, we are really helping someone.... oh well, I digress.

Yesterday, I got a card from a female co-worker saying she wishes me and my family a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year. The bitch called me an a** h*** a few months ago!!

Ok people, Ready, set, 1....2.....3............. react.

I hate cards too. I don't mind ones from family, as they include photos of my sweet nephews and nieces, so those are worth keeping.

Why not just tell people ahead of time you don't want them?
It may come as rude to do so. I know people get offended if you turn down a gift, in their minds thats what the card is. Except, it goes for he garbage as it's something you cant regift.
