Awesome comeback after losing to the Oilers at Edmonton last week. I bet on that game too and lost :( was very embarassed after bragging in an Edmonton bar how they were gonna get their asses fed to them. I covered it later by saying it was a pity win and that the Canucks won't be so generous at the next game....

AND I WAS RIGHT

4-2

YEAAAHHHHH.

i didnt actually watch the game but got texted the score and screamed "YEAAAHHHH WOOOO" and scared the HELL out of my driver on the way to a call lol.

that's hilarious how you can pump up the Canucks like that, esp. in a bar; they don't have a record like the Sharks or the Red Wings, whose losses you can count on one hand, yet Canuckleheads like you make it bad for real Canuck fans like us who know realistically, that this isn't a great team, even w/ Luongo playing at his best.

I wouldn't call this comback 'awesome' by any stretch, it's only 1 game, jeepers!

Do I sound negative? Am I supposed to sit here idly while Canuckleheads think we're going to the Stanley Cup? lol, I can't wait til Sundin does/if signs here, this city better get the bandwagons out (AGAIN)...

How exactly are you a fan? You rip apart every aspect of the team, insult the fans of the team, yammer on about other teams and players. Being a fan is about supporting a team through good times and bad. You are a band wagoner at its fucking worst. You are not a fan, just a constant whiner and complainer. Watch your Detroit and San Jose games instead, then you can quit your fucking whining on here

You sure are a negative little weenie ;)
LOL, just having a bit of fun w/ these canuckleheads, they're fairly easy to ruffle their feathers, aren't they? ;) They think this team is ONLY 1-2 players away from winning the cup, or at least to be seriously considered to be a contender.

Guess when you've got Edler as not only the Top 2 Canuck d man, w/ so much promise, he may be the next Paul Coffey? That's if some of the canuckleheads know who that is? :p

Or maybe Schneider just may be the next Hasek or Roy too!

Glad to see you're back, Hubba!...

Last night was the pity win! We didn't want to spoil Linden's big night....but sorry we hurt two of your D-men.

I'm not a Canuck fan but Linden is a classy guy. :)

I think at some point Sami Salo is going to get checked into the boards and he'll shatter into a thousand tiny pieces.

Keep up the good work...

you have a brilliant hockey mind...
I, along with you, must be brilliant, if we're the only ones who know that the Canucks are a 2nd-tier team.

Unbeknowst(?) to Trackie boy here, or Arggh, Classy, Moi, etc, I do root for my home team but only within reason and insanity. How can this team contend w/o a REAL quarterback on their D, esp. on the power play? All of the recent Stanley cup champions-- Lidstrom, Pronger, Niedermeyer, Boyle--and some Canucklehead think Edler is 'almost there', or our current injury prone Bieksa & Salo, the indifferent Ohlund, stay-at-home Mitchell, and the scrappy Hordichuk & O'Brien???

OOOOoooooo:eek: hhh, this Canuck D is really sending me the shivers when they play the Tier 1 teams in this league....

Actually, his type of thinking is overly simplistic.

He's the type of fan that rags negatively about every aspect of the team. The two benefits of this are that if/when the team does bad, he can point out how smart and right he was. But if/when the team does well, it's also a win for him because, well, it's his team.

It's basically a form of bet hedging, and you do it when you really don't know what your talking about but want to make it look like you do.

So prove to me that you know what you're talking about.

I find that the Canuckleheads can't accept the truth. YOU KNOW my points are valid, so you come up w/ some b.s. , hahah,, it's laughable...

Your 'theory', as I hate to legitimize it, is flawed anyways; if the team does well, how can it be a win for me? it'll make me look bad and eat my own words.

Now I can add Aznboy as another canucklehead.

Show me another Stanely Cup winner with a similar defence to our current Canucks' lineup.

You go eat your own word! LOL

I agree with you post BJH, although the "within insanity" part made me laugh out loud, I know what you meant. ;)

A good d-man is vital, heck Pronger even helped us get to the finals. But one guy does not make or break a team....Sundin is not the saviour!

There is however only one guy between the pipes....you guys sure need Robbie back.

Ok, well let's see....

On the one hand you've argued that Sundin wouldn't make an impact on this team despite the fact that he's averaged close to a point a game the last ten seasons and scored over 30 in 7 of them, including the last one. Yet on the other hand you've used edler as an example to make the argument that you don't sign on what you think a player will do (I think you guys were talking about potential) but on what he's done in the past. You're contradicting yourself.

You've then argued that Sundin would be a lame signing on the basis that he's done nothing in the playoffs and have dismissed the argument that "one player does not make a team". But by your reasoning Osgood should be a hall of famer because he's won 3 cups. But oh wait, you also mentioned that detroit won despite not having good goaltending because "they had great teams".

Basically, you're just cherry picking your arguments as you go along.

So do I think that the Canucks are a cup contender? Not quite, Detroit and San Jose have the form right now. But that's not a guarantee; that's why you play the games. But I'm also not going to throw them under the bus like you do. And as much as I dislike Sundin, I also think that this team would be better with him than without.

Your 'theory', as I hate to legitimize it, is flawed anyways; if the team does well, how can it be a win for me? it'll make me look bad and eat my own words.

Whatever happened to positive sports stories, reporting or posts on this board. Let's celebrate last night's win. When you wake up in the morning and read the paper or look on the internet, the line says Canucks 4 Oilers 2. Two points in the win column and the Canucks are tied for top spot in the Northwest Division. Go Canucks Go.

Go Avs!!!!

Hi Azn, some great points buddy. This is exactly why I despise the Vancouver Swedish national team. Fans like bjhunter jumping on and off the bandwagon as it suits them. Don't tell me that if they won the Cup, BJ wouldn't be the first guy running down Robson waving his little Canuck flag. All the bandwagoners are the same.

It doesnt matter what you think, I'll be an idealist when it comes to my fav sports team like the Canucks or Liverpool and say they will KICK YOUR FUCKIN ASS just because I can and because it riles up the silly Oiler fans.
