Woman is a human female
Female is any species of female
Trans women are women
The end
You're contradicting yourself: trans women are not female... they should be accepted/included/protected as women in all social settings, yes! Yet that is an ideological point-of-view, even if I'm sure we can both agree on it.
But that's not the same as being female, which is a biological term... and, to be clear, the actual word that you used up-thread.
Just clarifying, since this is the crux of the debate creating a schism within certain feminist circles.
Not looking to have a "thing"... it's entirely possible to accept & include trans women yet acknowledge biological differences.

PS: Respectfully, adding "the end" implies your POV is right and nobody can disagree, yet discussion & debate are how ideas get elaborated and conflicts get resolved.

Yeah, most women I know like being called “woman” over “girl”. Wouldn’t you prefer to be called “man” over “boy”?
Preference is not the same as definition though... I supposed you think it should also be call-woman.

biological sex is WAY more fluid than you think it is. There are not just “males” and “females”.

that fact aside, I’m sure we can agree that “woman” refers to a human and “female” doesn’t necessarily. This, calling a woman a “female” is dehumanising which was my original point.

I was told once that “a girl has yet to menstrate, a lady is married to a knight - everyone else is a woman.” I’ve used that as my rule-of-thumb when choosing the appropriate pronoun.

Girl often implies a group. One of the girls. The girls at the office. As does lady but in mixed company. Ladies and gentlemen. Ladies of the evening. Woman, even in plural stands independent. "Men & women", stand apart, why else "man & wife". "Girls & boys" do not and clearly become children. Female in documents and forms. English rich variation and nuance, the language of science and technology.

I haven't been with an SW that I could comfortably call a girl....all have been women. Female has become a cringey title used by incels and mouth breathers. Very enlightening subject though !
