I didn't realize that you worked in Germany.

What's that like?
I worked in Canada with Germans. Many who were WW2 vets. They all seemed very pleased with themselves. However. I have been to Germany. Visited Dachau. All the fun stuff.
Dachau is a 20 minute ride from downtown Munich on the schnellbahn. So for the deniers who said they didn't know it was going on. The smoke stacks from the crematorium should have been a hint. When you get on the bus to go to the "state memorial" past all the hate stares and glaring from the locals at the bus station, you see a sign welcoming you to Dachau " a famous artistic community for centuries known for it's quaint friendliness or some bull shit. Somebody had spray painted on the sign " Scham ir eucht nicht?" Somebody else had scrawled underneath " Nein". Fun place.

What about the Germans in Germany right now?

What can you tell me about their state of mind?

Those are the people I was talking about.

I think the percentage of World War 2 vets in the German population is probably pretty small.

Statisticly insignificant.

So, what's your point?

My own experience was that Germany was the only country where I was made to feel uncomfortable on a daily basis. They are very comfortable losing their shit at you on the drop of a hat. Got in a conversation in a bar when travelling with my American Norwegian friend. The girls liked him. "you are so blonde. You are so tall. Where are you from?" He told them his heritage was Norwegian. They then turned to me and asked me what I was. I said Canadian. They said "no. what is your racial background? I told them truthfully Engish/Irish. They contradicted me. "No. You are too dark. I zink you look more like Spanish or Greek, or somezing else........(Jew) I believe they were hinting at.

There is antisemitism everywhere, not just in Germany.

I don't think Germany is going to start WW3 anytime soon.

Pretty sure.
