Should Cory Schneider be given the chance / opportunity to start game 5? Come on, 12 goals in the last 2 games ! Lets give Cory a chance. :clap2:

I am a Luongo supporter through and through. Typically I hate his haters and think he's been outstanding for us.

However, I think you go with Schneider next game and give Luongo a rest...its been a long time since his had one. If Schneids loses than you can justify putting Lu back in next game too.

Yeah, couldn't hurt, who knows might even give them a boost, Bruins don't have any respect for Canucks or there power play. Every time Kesler & the Sedins are on the ice, the Bruins are slashing them behind the legs.
bruins know they're injured. so what do you do? attack their weaknesses! that's what competitions are! no more pussies!

You`re clearly not well versed in pop culture.

We need Timmie.

Though I made a voodoo doll for him with a fun little iPhone app and was trying to have him decide he didn't need to play hockey anymore. Or maybe he could get a bad case of the runs. He just seems unstoppable right now (dammit!)

If Vigneault wants to start Cory, that`s fine with me and if he wants to stay with Roberto, that`s also fine with me. I don`t believe for one second we would have won game four with Cory playing. Simply put, our problem is lack of scoring. Particularly on the powerplay

If I could vote (how come I can't:confused:) I would choose Schneider as well ...he was on the puck for the short time he was in net :) This is not to say Luongo is not capable but 12 goals in 2 games

I look forward to the celebration when we win the cup :clap2::clap2::clap2:

At this point I think you have to start Schneider. I believe the Canucks would play really well in front of him. But I'm cheering for Boston so I hope they throw Luongo back in.
If the Canucks lose the next game with Luongo in net. I guarantee you Schneider will be in net for the next game in Boston. And if they win game #5 with Luongo in net then it's a tough call. Apparently Luongo doesn't like playing in Boston. That's really showed the past two games.

I agree gonzo ...the team is not made up of just Louongo ... It was a little frustrating when several penalties went unnoticed though ...

I am a big believer in POSITIVE ENERGY and I think that if Vancouver throws some out they will return to their full potential :thumb: they have played amazing this year ...I actually started watching hockey again because of this ...I am kinda stuck waaay back in the 80s when the Oilers ruled :thumb:

Canucks report card from game 3 and 4

Forwards - unable to fight through the defensive triangle and had to take low percentage shots. Unable to match toughness with Bruins D. Dump in the puck and the Bruins D were able to breakout with ease. Overall grade F.

On the power play. There was no signs of the league leading PP in game 3 and 4. Overall grade F.

Defence. Granted their numbers are down with injury and Rome' suspension. I am betting each one is hurting too. Unable to match Bruins forwards toughness and gave up the puck numerous times doing juvenile dumb ass mistakes in our end. I would have them doing a bag practise after last nights loss.

But,I will cut them some slack but not too much and it is still a fail.

Lou. hmm, being paid the big bucks to steal a game or two for us when the Forwards and D men are not performing. Huge Fail.

Schneids gets the start IMHO.

so you want to trust the finals to a rookie. sure he's good (and unproven) but there's 20 other guys not doing their job in front of any goalie at this point. the 'nucks can't score that's a bigger problem.
be careful as you all jump from the bandwagon you might twist an ankle.
everyone seems to forget that the other team is pretty good too or they wouldn't be in the finals. plus the home team is supposed to win. Lets not forget EA sports pulled Vancouver in 7 with the home teams winning all the games. they have only been wrong once this playoff.

did you see louie's dark and sunken eyes last night in the close-ups after they pulled him? either he's been having trouble sleeping or he's been doing an AWFUL lot of pooning in boston. either way he definitely needs a rest

this happened all during the regular season - luongo would get tired, schneider would play a couple of games, luongo would come back in all rejuvenated. it worked just fine

Put the rookie in and prove Luongo is over rated/paid. Lui does rank in the top quater of the league but so far he's been outplayed by some better unproven goalies in the playoffs. Gillis is a smart GM but signing LL to that contract will be one of his biggest bloopers. I'm not saying the other guys in front of him are supporting him but for $10M, stop a few more.

Isn't Luongo the one armed man from The Fugitive? No glove hand.
hah hah... good one - and half the time he can't hold on to his stick with the other hand!

nope - he's a damn good goalie most of the time, he just gets these dark periods where he needs to take a rest. and the rest of the team knows it too, and they all fall apart at the same time

as soon as cory got in last night they started to play noticeably better - they didn't do any scoring, but they definitely started to make shit happen on the ice. for that reason alone they should start cory tomorrow, but be ready to pull him fast if he pulls any of the stunts he pulled the last time they started him
