Hey guys,

So here is my life in a nutshell, I work hard and one of the negatives is that I don't have the time I would like to be truly involved in a long term relationship. (life story of some of the guys here) :D

Most of the girls I date, always end up looking for a long term relationship. I can't give that now and it's not fair for me to string them along either so hence I poon occasionally.
In the past, I've had a few friends who have wanted a "friends with benefits" situation. I usually just change the subject or ignore it. I just thought don't want to jeopardize the friendship we have.

Recently, well actually last night my friend messages me at 3 am saying she's horny and wants me to come over. Of course, I ignore it.

Maybe something changed recently, but I'm thinking shit, why not? As long as we both agree before we do anything that there is no relationship out of this it should be okay?

Anyone have experience with this? Are you still friends? Life is good?

Thanks for any advice.... especially things not to do that could f*ck our friendship up.

Friendship with females is highly over-rated. I've never been friends with a female who I didn't want to "do" In fact that was the purpose of me wanting to be friends with them in the first place.

IMO, if she is looking for sex from a friend, she is looking for more from you than either just sex or just friendship, and she can see the sex as a way "in". Even if you clearly set the limits of the relationship to fwb only, someone is going to get their feelings hurt, or expect more at some point.

If, as her friend, you have seen her able to have fwbs with others without any drama, then go ahead. I think that if you have always declined in the past, then you know what to expect.

Every time i do this i hear the relationship idea come out. Dont stay over night if you do it. Girls dont look at sex the same as guys even if some make it seem like they do.

Friendship with females is highly underrated. Just being friends with one female gives you several more opportunities with other women(her friends) Most of the time they'll even try and help you bone them.

Its totally possible to do! Just will take some work on your part to keep the friendship distance instead of relationship territory. Some things to keep in mind:

1) Any hint of relationship talk from her end - u have to be able to use humour to respond and then change the subject.

2) You can integrate conversation that constantly let's her know where u guys stand in a non-threatening, light hearted way. Integrate into regular talk, not "pillow talk" or after u do her

3) Keep time spent together down to a minimum. Date-like situations blur the line. Best to keep it to a phone call and meet up. Don't see each other 3 times a week, etc

4) There's always a risk that this friendship will end. But if u do it right, instead of end, it'll only be like a 2 month break and then u guys can be friends again

5) Talk about her and her guy situation - u can be her wingman.

Any feelings she's got is her problem since both of u made it clear that its fwb situation. Stick to ur guns and don't feel sorry for her.
