Peter MacKay has been proudly trumpeting Bill C-36 as a "made in Canada solution" for his stated intent of "eliminating prostitution".
The French government is socialist - Harper isn't and he has a majority.
I really wish I could be optimistic. The Harper government has not demonstrated a tendency to pay attention to people who know what they're talking about in any number of areas.
Remember the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada attempted to warn him that his nomination to the SCC was inappropriate, and he thanked her by blasting her publicly.
Do you really think he cares what France does???
