I got the worst food poisoning I ever had I bought two slices from a pizza place that sells it by the slice,anyone else get food poisoning from these type of places,been sick for two days,I don’t want to say the name of the place so I don’t upset the mods.

Without a name useless post. Thats like saying i had chickenballs last night. Not going to say where but I got sick. I've had pizza by the slice at various places for years. Never a problem. Food poisoning happens
The mods don't care where you got food poisoning from, name them or don't, makes no difference to us.

You risk food poisoning any time the food is kept at a low to moderate heat for long periods of time. I got mild food posioning several times ( I didn't realize it was from this place which is why it took me a while to catch on) from a Indian takeout joint that served their food buffet style and kept it on a low heat for long periods of time.
You need to realize that the symptoms of food poisoning can take some time to exhibit. The milder the symptoms, the longer the period most likely between when the food was eaten and the symptms first show up. The one time I had very severe food poisoning, it was from a meal I had eaten only about 6 hours previously. Milder cases of food posioning were from meals eaten days previously.
When I had the mild case of food poisoning a few years ago from an Indian takeout joint, I thought I had gotten it from a well know restaurant chain instead and I called the BC government body (I have forgotten the name) to which you are to report suspected food posonsing. When I described the symptoms and when they showed up, they convinced me that it must have been from a less recent meal and had me describe meals I had eaten recently. When I described the Indian food and how it was presented (again, buffet style on low heat), the person on the phone said the food poisoning was almost certainly caused by this Indian food instead. To be clear, not because it was Indian food, but because it was kept on low heat for long periods of time. Which was a shame since since I really like the food and it was well priced and conveniently close to where I did some part time work once a week.

I got food poisoning one time when I went to a Christmas time pot luck supper. Hit me when I got home that night. Not something I want to go through again.
BBQ place beginning with Memphis. Just googled them and they still exist. 20 years ago I had their pulled pork sandwich. Projectile vomiting and diarrhea hour later. Didn't know which way to turn on the porcelain throne. Called them up next day and they denied any guilt. I mentioned them to a guy at work when I got better and he reported the same thing. Then a year or so later a buddy wanted to eat there. I told him I got food poisoning there. He said " so did I. but I still want to go back there".

I have eaten at that bbq place 3 times. Its overpriced and I hate the sauce. Find better bbq. I like Butcher's Block BBQ or Rosies Smokehouse (new food truck only on weekends). But my absolute fave is north Van Smoke and Bones.

Then. After I wash up, all is good.
If its Uncle Faiths on Broadway and Commercial, head on down Broadway towards Main and grab some pie at AJ's.
Some of the best Brooklyn Pizza this side of, well, Brooklynn.

Something to add that is not a restaurant recommendation, if you get stomach cramps and feel like you have food poisoning, take a shot of apple cider vinegar. A shot is better alone but you can also mix some in warm water. Then when rebuilding your strength, BRAT diet: bananas, rice, applesauce, toast
Worst food poisoning I ever got was when I was working a shutdown at the pulp mill. Grabbed a gas station sandwich, by the end of my shift I was planted on the toilet. Couldn't even drive home,I felt so bad. Ended up getting a room and asking for a wake up call so I could make the next shift.
Worst for me...2013..take out chinese. Never been sicker in my life. Had to call my ex to drive to my small town and bring me 2x gatorade six packs. I thought i was going to die somehow before it was all over.
Someone once described it to me this way: "At first I felt so sick I was afraid I would die. Then it got worse and I was afraid I would not die." lol.

Vancouver Coastal Health publish Restaraunts who have failed food inspection. You can also lodge a complaint from their restaurant page.
I use this site frequently and have changed my choice of restaurant had any food inspection failures.
