I have a posting pet peeve. If most users are ok with the practice I'll make peace with it. here goes

When you read a post titled "jane @ doe's" and somebody replies with a full review of "mary @ doe's"

now some forums have rules about posting related stuff in same threads... i have to admit they're... but i think that review of mary will get lost specially considering how deep the threads get. i say "start a new thread"
what you guys think? made this a poll for those who don't feel like posting a message as well. easy, right?

When someone butts in on a thread about a specific SP with a bunch of comments about another SP it is almost like shilling. It is disrespectful towards the original SP, especially if it was a positive review.
Then there are some SPs who butt in with comments about themselves-sometimes it's acceptable but sometimes they come across as too pushy.

pooncrawler,

you're preaching to the benighted ... all more rules will entail
is more posters breaking them ...

we used to have a comprehensive list of rules for newbies and
the last thing anyone did was read them let alone follow them.

better to save your breath and when someone does post a review
within a review just report it to the mod and it will get deleted.

There's a distinction to make between reviews for the SAME SP appearing later in a thread. That's okay, I do it myself sometimes, if I feel I'm adding to the original.
But a review of a different SP needs to go in a different thread.
The problem is threads get (often unintentionally) hijacked by posters commenting about things that appeared in the review, but not actually about the SP. Then it becomes a lounge discussion.

Actually I think the situation pooncrawler is refering to is when someone posts a review about a SP or MPA at a particular Microbrothel or Massage Parlour then someone else posts a review about a different SP or MPA at the same establishment. It's annoying but in this situation I don't think its intentional shilling. Each Individual SP or MPA deserves her own unique threads even if she is from the same establishment. Makes it much easier for doing searches too.

Well, here's one selfish reason why every review should be in a new thread, started by the reviewer, even if it's about the same SP. If you post a review in someone else's thread and they later leave PERB and have all their posts deleted, the threads they started also seem to disappear. I lost some of my own reviews that way in the past and it still p*ss*s me off.

Agreed, I always start a new thread whenever I review an SP or AMP.
