I watch a lot of scary movies but I don't scare easily. Hereditary and The Witch with Anya Taylor Joy really got to me though. Both are pretty atmospheric with slow building terror.

Saw it when it first came out in the old Odeon Theater in Winnipeg, wonderful old venue.
Two terrific lines from that movie
Arnie, being all buff and mean, throwing his knife into the bad guy who gets impaled up against the wall.
Arnie says "stick around"
and Gov Jessie, holding a machine gun that should have been mounted on a friggin crane it was so big, standing there looking up. One of his guys says, "man you're bleeding"
Jessie says "I ain't got time to bleed"
Great old flick!!

I don't watch much horror movies nowadays, aside from when they play movie marathons on AMC nearly every year around mid-October.

I love Hitchcock films! I have a huge “vertigo” poster featured prominently in my place.

Vertigo is my favourite Hitchcock movie. Some messed up psychological stuff going on there.

My favourite set of movies probably doesn't belong here but it is the Evil Dead movies and series starring the King, Bruce Campbell!! Don't really go for scary movies but these are so funny!

For me, The Exorcist. I watched in on parent's 50 inch tv when I was 17. I bought the movie from a mall an hour away when we went on a shopping trip. Lights off, no one home and it was terrifying.

Other offbeat favourites: Ginger Snaps, Blood the Last Vampire (animated), The Others, The Descent, Carrie 2013, original Child's Play, Friday the 13th 1-4, Freaky, The Lost Boys, Midnight Meat Train, Pumpkinhead, Sorority Row, Trick r Treat, VHS 2, You're Next, The Crazies 2010, Final Destination, Nightmare on Elm Street 1, 3 and New Nightmare, Funny Games 1997, Silver Bullet, thirst (bakjwi), and Vampire Hunter D bloodlust.

Slasher, Ash vs Evil Dead are decent tv shows. and The Terror season 1 for horror shows

Been a horror fan as long as I can remember and my daughter has it in her genes too. So many good ones. I rarely watch one twice but I watched Deliver us from evil with Eric Bana 3x )2014 movie.

I wish some of Clive Barkers books had been made into good quality movies. Books of Blood would have been awesome!

The Exorcist did scare the beejeebies out of me. As I recall I kept my oversized screwdriver under my pillow for weeks. That fucking demon wasn't going to get me!
