I'm a big fan of psych thrillers, slasher gore, jump scare films... pretty much anything that's scary!

Some of my favs:
-the endless
-get out
-midsommar

Any other horror/thriller fans on here?

I'm a big fan of horror films!

My absolute favorite is Silence of the Lambs. The scenes with Catherine in the well are bone chilling.

The original Halloween is so elegant and efficient. Michael sitting up at the end is one of the most effective flights I've seen.

The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre is the closest thing I've seen to a nightmare. It feels so realistic and claustrophobic. Very clever satire as well.

Warner Herzogs Nosferatu is very spooky (largely thanks to Klaus Kinski, one of the biggest creeps in film), and feels very relevant today. The ending is incredibly bleak.

The original Black Christmas is super spooky and suspenseful, and might be the smartest slasher movie. A great cast of smart, funny character, who act exactly as they should. Margot Kidder steals the show, but Olivia Hussey is great as the independent girl who breaks it to her boyfriend that she's going to get an abortion.

Finally, of all the Hammer horror films I've seen Mt favorite is The Mummy. Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee are awesome, and the story is the perfect distillation of the (mostly lousy) Universal Mummy movies from the 40s. It's really everything you could want from a Hammer horror, it's the one that best lives up to the studios reputation.

Been a horror fan as long as I can remember and my daughter has it in her genes too. So many good ones. I rarely watch one twice but I watched Deliver us from evil with Eric Bana 3x )2014 movie.

I wish some of Clive Barkers books had been made into good quality movies. Books of Blood would have been awesome!

I remember watching a Mummy movie when I was 8. I was so freaked out after watching it that when i was in a running tub and my mom went to visit a neighbor, I jumped out of the tub to go find her and left running!

A really good, I mean, 'need therapy for a few weeks', horror movie is hard to come by these days. It's an art form all of its own and recently I just haven't wanted to invest the time in the many that are out there now.

But if I go back and think of what movie scared the ever loving bee jeebies out of me, I would have to say the first Alien followed by the Exorcist (original Linda Blair as a 6 yr old). Saw Alien in one of the downtown theaters, maybe the precursor to the Scotia Center theaters not sure. I would be sure that when they were updating the seats they found one mid way on the right that still had my full hand prints embedded in the arms.

Re the Exorcist, I took my long handled big ass screw driver to bed with me for a couple weeks. Those fucking demons weren't going to get me!

The Exorcist scared the bejesus out of me - I was 15 when I snuck into the theatre. Slept with the light on for a least a week.
The original Haunting
The Hitcher
The first Friday the13th

From the other side of the fence. I don't groove at all on horror flicks at all.. I like to be entertained not have the sh*t scared out of me.

Alien is SO GOOD. just.... one of the best. I also love sci fi, so combining that with horror gives me a little twinge in my nether regions :p

Other than old footage of my wedding, I really like Hitchcock's The Birds. Tippi Hedren and Suzanne Pleshette were so damn hot.
Haha, agreed. All three counts!!
