Wow, tthat's a golden oldie -- I loved that book, and thought it was hot when I was in my early teens.Brazil said:

So many books -- how can I choose a fave?
The most recent one I read was terrific -- a children's book called Harriet the Spy by Louise Fitzhugh.
I came across it by pure coincidence, and realized that I had gone to art school with the author for a year before losing touch with her. She was hip and beautiful in a pixie-like way, and I had a big crush on her. I was a green kid of 18, and she was a worldly woman of 30. She died at age 44.
Turns out that she was gay, but I still regret not having gotten to know her better.
