With the recent polls/inquiries of folks in this "hobby/biz" I find I have been quite interested for some time now, is, what an escorts previous employ was or current alternative job is. Some you would never suspect and some are obvious ( Stripper )
I am not sure if this is frowned upon to reveal some of the ones I have found out, so I wont say any at the moment.

Ya it’s interesting real day jobs are a thing. One provider I know is a part timer and.no fs
but totally regular day job. And university graduate. I can completely understand why she keeps her feet in the regular world. And also she is really good especially with any kind of good connection.

The topic comes up quite often for me, as I tend to chitchat, pre- post- or basically anytime in between. No guarantee they are telling the whole truth, but there's no reason to tell a whole lie either. In no particular order...

Hospital administration
Nurse
Student
Airline exec's niece
Aspiring scuba diving instructor
Aspiring real estate agent
Aspiring artist
Retail
Accountant
GOC employee... says she was introduced by her associate who was driving a way too fancy car for her paygrade

One thing I learned is they come from all walks of life, some are seeing 5-6 per day, some are already rich, etc., etc.

I more wonder what a lot of these girls who don't have a day job will do once they stop sex work and don't have specific job skills or job training. Could be a harsh adjustment making $300 an hour to $20 an hour in a regular job.
Sex work has a ton of transferable skills lol.

I had a career and chose to do sex work instead. I think as long as a sex worker is good with boundaries and is able to attract clients she wants, then I think she can stay in this job for a really long time. In real life, people switch careers a few times before they retire. Sex work is no different than that. In real life, people lose everything all the time and have to start over from scratch. Sex work is no different than that either.

Administration
Website design
Advertising
Personal assistant to another SW
Peer counseling
Book keeping
Elder care ( cause trust me we do that)

That’s just off the top of my head , but seeing your trying to derail the thread ..
Plus a bunch more I can think of, and from an employers perspective I’ve met several SP’s who would make very good hires in the civy world. A smart independent business woman who’s got her shit together and understands the concepts of organisation and discretion would be a great employee.

The problem is that none of that can really be put on a resume / cv, and references can be a bit tricky to say the least. Alas the stigma of sex work raises its ugly head.

This has been fairly civil, and I have edited the title to previous/future work.

Keep the assumptions to yourselves and the snide remarks. Sex work is just like any other line of work. Some people have plenty of smarts and lots of options, some people are limited in their choices by education, skill set, disability, whatever.

There are sex workers who use it as a means to an end, completing education or some other goal, there are survival sex workers who pay the bills and have a hard time at that occasionally. Your assumptions about who is what and shots at the ladies we are all here for are NOT welcome. It's mind blowing to me that some guys here who pay money for the ladies' time have so little respect for them. If you don't respect them, your time here is going to be limited. Meanwhile go ahead and get yourself an attitude adjustment. The number one transferable skill sex workers need to have to deal with some of the Bros around here is an unbelievable tolerance for male entitlement, arrogance and bullshit.

In the words of a semi-famous comedian, I don't know who you think you are buddy, but you aren't.

It’s amazing how well some of these perberts think they know sex workers lol

Once everything is up and running, ie a good website, places to advertise, great photos, separate everything for yourself and for work, etc, the rest is pretty easy. But putting all of that together is real work. Maintaining a social media presence for a private introvert like myself is also real work. Trust me on that.

I love my clients that I have. Sweet easy delightful people, all of them. Occasionally I see somebody a bit difficult, but I’m really good at navigating people. People are the easy part. I also genuinely love being naked.

it’s easy to paint everybody with the same brush but we’re all just people, living life the best way we can.

It can be somewhat confusing, as the providers I’ve spoken with in real life have mentioned that the administrative and organizational aspects of their job are quite simple and not very time-consuming. In fact, they consider it to be the easiest work they've encountered from an administrative standpoint. The challenging aspect for them lies in interacting with men they aren’t attracted to, performing, and navigating conversations with socially awkward individuals etc.

Then you have the providers on this platform who seem to believe their work is more challenging than that of a financial analyst or physically demanding labor, among other professions.

Don't get me wrong; it's a job I wouldn't want to take on myself, but let's not act as though the administrative aspect is particularly difficult or time consuming.
