Interesting question bringing up a lot of points.
When I lived in Auz, the industry has good government support. ie. public paid healthcare for SP STD testing. Friends I have from Vancouver say that the health nurse's there are also very good at giving out info/condoms and the like. When you walk into a 'parlour' in Auz, you select who you like to see and even before business is discussed, the first thing that happens is that the SP asks you to display your little man and does a clinical inspection for visual STD signs- this happened everywhere regardless of in or outcall service and girls from the track- there is good education being put out. Then they ask if you have had a wash and if not to do so- they'll wait and sometimes join in if the dollars are taken care of.
As for strict regulations on how and what your girls do- this is playing with fire for business owners. One, if you tell a girl for "X-dollars" you have to provide "this" level of service you are setting yourself up to be charged for pandering and living off the avails. I just had an indepth conversation with a girl from anouther company who was asking me what level of service she should be providing in our local market- I can tell her this as I am not collecting from her without fear of vice coming after me (good idea for business owners to get a third party to explain services so you do not get in trouble- it does not take a rocket scientist to work out what is what, but some girls are not as smart as others- no offence ladies). For the record, the other business owner did not ask me to explain to this girl what service was expected, I did it as her friend to make her job easier.
Anouther way for business owners to clarify is to send a 'new/inexperienced' girl with one of your senior/experienced ladies to show them what is what- and to provide details on how to be safe. I swear there is so little health information available in Alberta on safer-sexual activities- why are we single-mama capital of Canada? Some of the girls that come to us I shake my head and wish my mama was here (she was a very open minded nurse).
Generally, a good working girl is hard to find for business girls- the kind of lady who knows how to handle her game properly. We find out pretty quick from customer complaints if a girl is not cut out for this business and we let them go. As a driver, I can also tell pretty damn quick if someone is getting out of hand in regards to mind altering substances- we won't put up with that at all.
Hope this has provided some insight. There needs to be more done in Canada in regards to SP health safety and general safety in this industry. I am all for government input as long as it is useful.
