Do these cabinet ministers have nothing better to do with their time? Are the people backing them exerting that much pressure on this issue? Did they forget prostitution is legal in this country?

Honesty! You think they'd find better things to do with their time...

Before anybody gets their shorts in a knot, go to C/L SFBay area and see what passes for "Therapeutic".

Pretty much the same as the old Erotic/Adult, just by a different name

I think they start to see the seriousness from other cultures on the side of prostitution. They start losing these "cultures" which can affect Canada's future!

I remember in 1990 police in TO went on a crusade to shut down the adult ads section in Toronto's weekly NOW magazine (then notorious), 'visiting' SP's working out of their own private residences and threatening to lay charges. Long story short, this intimidation campaign didn't last. No laws broken, and no basis for laying charges. I'm guessing the outcome of this latest initiative will be much the same.

I suspect that CL will probably not be as accommodating to Ontario as it was in the USA. CL is in it to make money, not spend time in court. Key point of difference is that in most US jurisdictions there is no legal way for a prostitute to work, even the act itself is illegal & so the ads were basically illegal as well. Shut down voluntarily, or spend a lot of money in court & likely be shut down.

Canada on the other hand is a different kettle of (legal) fish & CL will probably take a wait & see attitude as the various legal challenges wend their way though our legal system. And continue to make money in the mean time.
Not sure how much money you think a site makes on free ad postings, but carry on.

special interest groups. Up here on North Vancouver Island I've found there are no more postings in the erotic section most likely bc they all get flagged by wives/girlfriends. You ladys need to speak with Prof Lowman from SFU he'll know what to do, hopefully he is still working in the SFU criminology dept. He is the strongest voice you have.
