Younger adults are the people I want to avoid. They seem to be the ones causing most outbreaks with stupid behaviour.
Yes there are a lot of young adults that don't give a rats ass about Covid 19, but I have seen alot of middle-agers who buy the poison being sold in the USA and think COVID is a Democrat Con Job. They are the ones disrespecting the 2 metre rule in grocery stores that will come up to the same shelf, I am grabbing something from without regard to an old fart like me.

When I go to the supermarket, I wear a mask and still try to social distance. A good percentage of people seem to be doing that as well. But a lot of these people then seem to think social distance doesn't matter anymore. So many people wander into my path or come up close - young mindless teens, middle aged moms in a hurry and older people who believe the world revolves around themselves. Truly I continue being disappointed by people but I will still try the best I can to not be part of the problem.

Thoughts on a mandatory vaccine?
hell no. Kill me first I won’t consent. At least not without years of safety trials.
I’m not an anti-vaxxer BUT.. Vaccines are an invasive medical procedure which should require informed consent. It’s a human rights issue to force vaccination on anyone.
These Covid vaccines are being rushed to market without proper safety testing
I’ll stand back and watch the data on short and long term effects that from all the people who line up as literal lab rats.

I'd really like to know where that kind of ignorance stems from.

I'm inferring that you think coronavirus can only be acquired by those travelling outside of the "country". Are we in April or in August?

If I tell you I have no symptoms and because I'm your regular; therefore, that's ok and let's ignore the fact I may be asymptomatic and you believe I can't infect you, is that right?

Should you check my temperature at the door and because I don't have a fever, all is good? That's like wearing your mask on your chin and not covering your nose. It's really as good as nothing and providing a false sense of security. Our society and culture now is all about your own selfish needs and making yourself feel good, even if it means deceiving yourself. That's alright because most things now are all superficial. It's the current status quo.

It's true. Many who wear masks refuse to social distance and/or wash their hands properly. This is not a myth. It's a fact. It's baffling to me why so many people play Russian Roulette. They are so ego-driven they feel their infallible?

It's like little red hood meeting up with the big bad coronavirus wolf in the forest who's been following her. The overconfident Red says "I'm young, I don't need to self-isolate or play it safe". The big bad wolf responds and says, "I'm following you to Grandma's house".

But whatever, do me a favour. Instead of the illogical reasoning and rationalizing your behaviour, just admit that you don't think this virus is a big deal instead of coming up with these lame reasons to partake in this hobby/career in this dangerous time.

In regards to another poster's comment about most people wearing masks and try to social distance while shopping? Where might that be? Whole Foods, Choices, or Trader Joe's? T&T? Because I can tell you that most people do NOT wear a mask and certainly don't social distance. There are a few exceptions (at this time) in BC, but these exceptions aren't the norm especially at RCSS, No Frills, Save-On, Safeway, Walmart and more.
Right yes, my selfish needs like paying my rent and buying groceries cuz CERB is laughable. Get your head out of your ass my guy, a gal’s gotta live. Safer to see some regulars than end up on the street. *rolls eyes*

Not going to say what I do or where(not close quarter work, no sharing of equipment or work stations and plenty of circulation)but we’ve recently had one person infect(mere hours prior to his first symptoms)three, one of whom infected another two, before the first test came back + and coastal health told anyone to isolate. Most of the people involved used some Covid sense but there were an additional two almost as anal/careful as I who were similarly exposed but not infected. Good news is everyone (2 healthy + 2 soso middle aged men and 2 seniors with underlying issues) is doing ok a week plus later, but all out of work with their close contacts and the rest of us(not me, missed it by a day off)in isolation. It can incubate and spread really fast. Distance and hand hygiene or full medical grade PPE is pretty much the only way to not get infected around a shedder is my take away looking back on those few days.
This incident has pretty much eradicated my fears about coworkers infecting me because the infected(the ones I was most concerned of), according to leading studies, are now non vectors for 4-6 months. It has also reaffirmed my resolve to abstain from companions for now.

I can’t picture a vaccine being mandatory except probably for the armed forces, in Canada anyway. I’ll probably take what Canada approves. I suspect most countries will not admit unvaccinated foreigners for the foreseeable future, after they become available of course.

Respect. Same exact thoughts here, they can Vax my dead body. I'm not exactly a anti vaxxer either but there's no way I'm letting some new drug that's basically untested (with time) in my body. I will play devil's advocate a bit here and say that I'm not worried about this virus, I have a much much higher chance getting killed in a crash by driving in the lower mainland each day, will I stop driving? Nope. Life is not without risks.
Because of my illness, I have had to use unproved new drugs. When the doctor asked I said sure it was better than the alternative. The drugs are now a standard treatment for many like me. I will take the vaccine.

I was going to start a new thread but may as we’ll post here (I did a search and can’t find info on this)...

What about CONTACT TRACING if you catch COVID from an SP or if you are diagnosed with Covid shortly after seeing an SP? Those of you who have family/personal situations which mean you have to see SPs in very discrete ways, how do you deal with that?

If you’re an SP and learn you have Covid, are you contacting all your recent clients to let them know? Or are you telling the contact tracer who they were? If you’re a client and you are diagnosed (and you have a partner who doesn’t know about your pay-for-sex activities) are you telling the contact tracer that you saw an SP and giving her contact information?

Or at the least I think I would just contact each other privately and tell them they were potentially exposed and should get tested. But even then, many SPs (most, hopefully) are very discrete and wouldn’t contact a client at some random time to accidentally out him. But under these circumstances (or, say if you found out you had an STi) are those normal rules out the window?

I'm curious if any SPs have been getting tested for COVID-19 periodically - seems like that might be wise, and put some clients at ease.

That just gives people a false sense of security. If a SP gets regularly tested for STD and test results are negative, does it mean it’s now safe to do BBFS with her? Obviously not. Same thing for Covid.

With that said, it’s still a good idea for both SPs and clients to get tested for Covid regularly. If you’re asymptomatic, at least you can find out from testing and stop spreading.

@the Meat Market!!!lol
just a note: when contact tracers reach out to people who may have been exposed, they do not say, where or how....so if an sp gave your contact info...and you were contacted... it would not include - the escort/ masseuse/ sex worker..... there will be no mention of this..... only that you may have been exposed.

Non vectors? If you're referring to immunity the fact is we don't know and only time will tell. I've read literature that it can be arguablly as low as a month and as long as 3 months, but not 6 months from any reliable data.

That is what I meant. Haven’t read literature or anything but some recent articles I’ve read suggested as much as six months immunity post recovery.

There are also fewer SPs working. Some has been on hiatus. We don't know whether or when they will come back.
One reason there are less SPs is because some are collecting CERB. My goto girl is doing so. She is still working but almost never advertises any more because between regulars and CERB she does not need to. I asked her if she was not worried about having to return the CERB $$$ because she doesn't really qualify (she is already getting social assistance). She told me "you can't get blood from a stone" and besides, she tells me all her friends/acquaintances on social assistance are doing the same. The government is going to throw them all into jail?

Why on earth would you be going to, and shopping at so many stores, if you're so worried about Covid?

I shop at one store primarily, about once a week, to 10 days, and a secnd every two weeks or so, for things the first doesn't carry.

By your comment, it looks like you not only go to a LOT of stores to shop, but you spend a lot of time checking out, and documenting all the other shoppers.

A little organization, would prevent you from having to go to so many stores.
