You forgot about my "It seemed that" bit, and an admittance that I didn't go back and count posts. Remember? You quoted that bit.
And I stand by what I say, Sure, you might not of literally posted in the poll thread, but I recall you were posting the shit out of the boards in general. Especially in comparison to the other nominated ladies. I still think that the "Aw shucks" bunny persona matched with visibility lead to your of that nonsense poll.
I thought the poll was fun, and I was surprised, but not annoyed by you winning. It's in light of recent events that has made me suspect, and if not for this thread, I never would of posted anything.
Since you're all about the facts, care to list how many clients got extra perks in exchange for good reviews to help you drum up business? You didn't comment on that part of my post.
I didn't think I needed to point out that you had not counted what was not there at all ...as in how active i had been IN THE POLLS to quote you. And btw, whether or not the other nominated ladies choose to or have time or ambition to 'post the shit out of the boards in general' is really not anything I should consider when I do what I do. I mean ...you've got 178 posts since late 2008 compared to others who have over a thousand or 3. Is it important that you all participate the same amount? If these ladies do not have the time or the desire to participate as much as I do it's no fault of mine, nor did my level of participation begin around the vote.
If you care to take a look at my posting history you will see that I have always "posted the shit out of the boards in general". If there are a high number of posts by me at the beginning of July that is because it was my birthday. There were two birthday threads written. I am courteous and I reply. There were 2 (errr, if not 3 new reviews within that same week) again, I replied as I have always done. Then if you continue to look into July you'll see that I took 2 weeks off completely from posting during the time the vote was taking place ...GUESS WHY? Because I knowingly did not want to smear the boards with the bunny in an effort to avoid looking like a campaign freak. Go on ...look at my posting history from July 21st on. Don't forget that my posting history goes way back and has always been active btw.
How many clients got extra perks in exchange for good reviews? I always offer a beverage of choice/ I don't want anyone settling for coke when they love cream soda or rye when they love red wine. I offer outfit requests. Are these the kinds of perks you are talking about? If so by simple breakdown I guess all of my clients get perks
hoping for a good review which in turn will bring in new clients. ...that's why I started doing the little extras, because really, when selling what we sell I considered "how do I stand out a bit". I figured it out and I did it. As for a list of clients who receive these perks ...that would be everyone. As for 'in
exchange for a good review? ZERO. A great many of my clients on the board have never reviewed me and I fully respect that. I don't expect a review, not ever.
You are referring to HB of course and my gift to him. The review was his form of 'payment'. Check back around the time he visited and look at all the drivel he was writing about 'not having any pooning money because his wife had taken over his wallet'. He carried on about not getting any action and ...he made his way to my doorstep 3 times with sad eyes and the tale of how he couldn't afford to see me. He sent me a message saying 'I sure wish i had the funds to spend my birthday with you' ...I offered him the session. Yup! First visit. I mean, he had been in 3 times to see me so he must be interested in coming in as a client, let's give the poor broke bastard with the nazi wife a break and take a leap of faith and give something to him because he's just so so sad. He asked me what he could bring to compensate somehow (not $) He asked if there was something he could do. He told me that he would not accept my offer of the gift session unless he felt he had made some kind of payment. He offered the review. He had his session, he wrote his review and that was that. So again ...Zero clients "got extra perks in exchange for good reviews, hell he could have had a horrible time and written a bad review because I never even discussed that it had to be a good one if he did it. One client, HB, got a free birthday session because I felt sorry for him but it was about an attempt to make him feel better by doing something nice. (I do have the pm's of the communication leading up to the event btw)
I give a birthday session to ALL of my clients who are regular in sharing sessions with me. I have clients who see me 2 times a week ...some 3 times a week ...I have clients who see me once a month, twice a month, every other month ... and I have clients who see me once or twice and never again like Dark_Knight earlier this year. You see, if his birthday was next week I would not be offering him a birthday session because he's not a constant regular. I get to define who gets the birthday sessions based on the number of times I've known a client to visit. This is rather funny and sad actually because Digger33e had only seen me once before his birthday but, you see, I follow my heart in many cases and with a gut feeling that he would remain a client I gave him his birthday session on his 2nd visit. If I was not able to afford this I would not do it. The way I look at it is if a client is seeing me 40 times a year, 20 times ...or sees me 6 times in one month prior to his birthday ...I offer this gift as a way to say thank you for their support and whether or not they ever come back after that is not something for me to worry about. When I give thanks I expect nothing in return. Digger's birthday was special.
Some of you are impossible to please you know? In one breath you bitch because "it's all about the $$" then when someone takes the initiative to offer a thank you ..a once a year special on their birthday you bitch about that too. its the teeniest way for me to say thank you for supporting me in life. This is how I raise my son. Every other industry on the planet offers specials and incentives, give aways and prizes ...this is called marketing. It's a good way to show appreciation and a great way to market ...promote ...advertise ...remember, it's a business after all, I just do what I can to make things more human and personal while doing the business that I do.
What's truly priceless is that I have never advertised that I do this. By you pushing and pushing and pushing you've allowed me to advertise this. Um, Thanks?
