I know a few guys in their early 40's who are virgins, not by choice but mainly to shyness and having no game whatsoever. They also have horrible jobs so it's not looking good for their futures.

Do you think dying a virgin is a horrible thing? Never having experienced sex? Or is it completely overrated? I know never being in a relationship and experiencing love is worse but this question is strictly about sex, not love.

I think that situation would suck completely. Most guys have urges and internet porn is a poor substitute. Though, by the time you are 40 you are a big boy and you have to take some responsibility for your life. Sitting around hoping Miss Right (or Miss Right Now) drops into your lap is not likely to work.

Regret sex? Maybe, maybe not.

Not having kids might be a bigger regret. Not having a relationship with someone on an intimate enough level to have sex might be a bigger regret. The act itself? Probably not. I think on your deathbed it might be one of those trivial things like should I have bought the V8 instead of the V6 or maybe I should have eaten more cheesecake.

To each their own. One of the guys in my entourage just isnt into dating or women really. He is not at all gay or into guys.

I know this question is for guys, but I must say, I can't imagine being a virgin at that age! I love sex, and I think it's an important part of life and of someone's well-being. It certainly shouldn't consume anyone's life, and it isn't the most important thing. But I really couldn't imagine what I'd be like if I were to have stayed a virgin my whole life....maybe I would've taken all the time and energy I put into sex and became a rocket scientist! :p Yeah right! lol. Well, whatever turns your crank, and if these people are happy then why the hell not? If they aren't, well it's never too late to change your life around :)

I've been in infatuation, but "love", what is that? Overrated hollywood fantasy shallow mush are a few words that cum to mind. Do i cry sometimes when i watch stuff like the Vampire Diaries, Notebook, the Twilight trilogy, etc? Yes, but what does that prove? That Hollywood is talented at manipulating my emotions? i also know a guy in like his sixties. would say he is a virgin, but he is quite the loner, almost a hermit,

another person i know never had a date. never been with a women as far as any one could tell.

I had the same thoughts when I was a virgin at 50 and part was be cause of shyness and a loner and not having the money, or no where i could spend the money for what i wanted .. But I solved the problem .. and made a few others lol

If they do something about it Then they will have a totally different out look on life Because being a virgin can be a handy cap in even looking for a relationship ... Of course only seeing escorts can be a handicap to a relationship also ...

i agree being a virgin is a handicap in a sense,

i have never really been a virgin i guess, in the sense we are talking about, but
during long periods of my life, i was not having sex.
just personal issues baggage from my child hood, stuff, not really wanting the physical contact or itmacy, then in my marriage, the sex slowly waned away then stopped,,

life takes on a different perspective when your having sex. your just one of the guys
even girls. you give them a big knowing smile, that says how much fun life can be, and they kind of just hang around you more, as apposed to this sort of leacherous sort of grin that makes them want to run and hide.

yeah life is alot better when your having sex.

but it can bring its own complications.

There is nothing morally reprehensible for them to seek out an escort in this situation since if they had tried to get game and did not succeed, social morality which presumes that game is available do not apply. Even most hard nosed vegetarians will not hold it against you if you were to eat meat where vegetarian diet was not an option in a given area. I say for them it would be perfectly alright to even pay someone to impregnate and make a child for them.

Here's where a little bit of the old school in me comes out... I think it's worse dying without having been in love, being loved and to have made love. Sex is available anywhere, anytime and almost with anyone.

Well i never found it to be available any time any where .. .. If you don't drink , then no party's , don't do drugs , ten no party's , don't work in a office or with other large groups of people , then no party's ,, Don't do sports .. then no party's .. and no bars ... it kind of cuts down on opportunities ..

And then on top of that if you are shy , curious , and respect women , and don't look at them as only some one to use as as sex object .. again your not going to be just looking for sex ..

I personally feel in love ? maybe it was only lust .. a few times .. and did my best to pursue the girl .. The best i managed was to be a friend and got invited to the wedding ...lol .

Even now My best friends are escorts and ex escorts .. I am more comfortable with them because there is an openness's that i don't find in the pretentiousness of the rest of the world .. it is not about being a whore .. it about being real ..about what you think and do ... If you love sex say it .. if you don't say it also .. it is all good ...
