Dubai - experience and recommendations

Hi all,
Going to be in Dubai in the new year for work/pleasure for a week or so. Will be the my first time in Dubai and was curious if any of the community here has recommendations. I've been reading up on various travel blogs/reddit threads/youtube videos of the standard 'tourist things' to do/see. There's an overwhelming amount. Trying to sort out what to focus on. Also with Dubai under sharia law there are a few conflicting threads on what to expect...or what to indulge in vs avoid. I understand there's an incredible amount of beautiful women from all over the world there.

Any tips from experienced travelers would be much appreciated

I'll be staying in a 5* in the Dubai Marina/JBR area if thats helpful

Be prepared, like everything there...it is expensive....$2000 or $3000K per hour....

ps, not sure how to contact provders there at this point...but i would suggest being very careful and polite...things are different in the east....

Yes it will be expensive. But even this is not a guarantee that you will not be charged with immoral behavior. Be honest. I have no doubt that local sheikhs can circumvent their local laws with the help of small religious manipulations. But will this work with those who come as tourists? I wouldn't take any risks in this country. Dubai is very interesting for entertainment (besides girls). It's worth living there for a while. Personally, my choice is to search for a video with Faina Bona and have a relaxing evening in a Muslim country.If you want live communication, then there is Thailand. By the way, there are also very serious official laws there, but tourists are allowed a lot...
