Where are the summer sales? What should we wear? My collection of bermuda shorts, tommy bahamas bowling shirts and leather sandals is getting a little stale. I blame Charlie Harper for over-selling the look. What should the distinguished but comfort-craving Edmontonian look like in summer?

Yes yes, redneck hicks are everywhere out here. It is inbred cowboy country. But even you should know that summer is the season for Eskimo jerseys, not Oilers.

Umm, you know we are right here don't you? I would think you might try to dispel the stereotype of the obnoxious, rude and arrogant American....or if nothing else try to show a little gratitude to the province you are working and pooning in.
As for summer fashion, I think speedos are going to be all the rage this season.
Relax, I was talking to sperminator, who lumps the rest of us, me included, into the inbred-redneck category, since we don't know how to dress ourselves.
I am a yank...well, actually a southerner...there is a difference....that's why they had that whole war thing. Speedo's blow, you are way off base on that one HB. I use body paint only...it's very slimming.
As for fashion heading into summer, I love the spermies advice. But then, I buy my stuff off the Goodwill rack....I have tan dockers, a checked haggar long sleeve....and hiking boots that fit into the pedals of my Trek. Styling big time. It's amazing what you can find on the used racks.
Still, you know better than that Florida. Never crap in the nest in which you find yourself.

I prefer fitting in however. So Jeans and tshirt in edmonton.
If I was in montreal however, tan cotton slacks. Any decent leather shoes, that are dark brown. A cool shirt of any lighter colour, colour doesn't matter, as long as not pinkish or yellow!

Good grief, it's like being stuck in some space-time continuum. That is the trouble with your quantum mechanics, reality offers too many variances to put things into neat little boxes of right and wrong.
Did you ever think that the reason I'm wearing black socks with my flip flops and a tattered Oilers jersey is simply because it's laundry day. Maybe we are rednecks, but I'm Albertan and proud of it, sheesh, there are so few of us left.
