Solo traveling; I did that for about 3 years back in the early 70’s, took a bit of getting used to, the the rewards of going where the wind blows you sure can make for some awesome experiences. Did all of Europe from the Scandinavian countries to the Mediterranean and Greek Islands, sleeping on the beaches and vineyards saw pretty well all there was to see. What a pissup at the Oktoberfest in Munich in those days and getting jobs at German Ski areas all Winter was bonus time. These days I like the tropics also and some winter months on the Hawaiian Islands is hard to beat.

I've been to 70 countries. Some multiple times. I lived in a few for a long time, and many others I stayed in for way too long. Then there are those which I will go back to, and of course, many new on the list to visit.

For you BKK fans, check this out:

https://finfin.vip/

It's a site for indie SPs - going rate for 90 minutes is about C$80. According to my source, most of these girls would have been going for 3 times as much in pre-covid times.

Heard August bugs come out in Yukon. Visited Whitehouse twice end of June. Pleasant trails to hike off behind the hospital. If you walk west around the end of the airport runway to the other side you'll find a good steel staircase down the cliff into the city. About 8 months travelling Europe since 2010, 10 days to 10 weeks at a time.

Edit: Canada, 3 months on Greyhound bus pass, 30 to 60 days since 2007.

Another one for the bucket list - I adore pre-automobile towns and cities
I've passed by there on the way from Kunming, Dali to Shangri-la. There is some weird scenery along the way to Shangri-la. Endless huge constructed hotels and casinos like buildings, all seem unoccupied. Well, at least a few years back. Then you are on the edge of Tibet. A completely different vibe from China. But then, China has so many faces. I'd definitely suggest Dali. Smaller town, cobblestone streets, no cars, and the whole town is covered with white walls painted with nature sceneries in black. Its like walking in a gallery. Speaking of towns with no cars - Iquitos, Peru. Even better taking a boat from Yurimaguas than flying. You can jump off and spend some time with locals living on the edge of a jungle. Its easy to hire a guide. I can tell you, eating piranhas you just caught baked in camp fire sparkled with unspoiled juicy wild oranges you just picked up is a great experience. And piranhas are one of the best tasting fish in my opinion. Similar to pacu.

I also miss traveling. A part of me is afraid of all this pandemic situation, but another part is ready to escape reality and buy the quickest tickets to any destination. When I went to Germany, it was a spontaneous trip. My friends and I studied https://www.dbfahrplan.com/de/ and chose the easiest and most comfortable option. We were surprised by their punctuality and said we would visit Germany one more time. It impressed me with its culture and people. You should choose a country that seems to be the best choice for you.
