Apparently Gillam MB area is all bogs tantamount to quicksand and extremely dangerous to go anywhere without following established roadways. These 2 suspects look dead in the water. Everybody knows that the suspects are at Gillam from sighting in Gillam. The suspects are alone from surveillance footage in Saskatchewan store.

Still lot of unanswered questions. Really, the only suspicious thing surrounding these 2 young men is their burnt out vehicle and the 2 continuing to travel that was verified by surveillance footage from a Meadow Lake SK grocery store. Haven't seen any verifying photos of the 2 young men beyond the surveillance footage although testimony of one of the fathers is compelling. How did the Saskatchewan grocery store know so quickly to release the surveillance footage? The body of Leonard Dyck was 2 kilometres from the burnt out vehicle of the 2 young men. Is Leonard Dyck the owner of the gray RAV4 found burnt out in Gillam MB? No publicly established link between the Leonard Dyck murder and the murdered 2 high profile tourists. In what manner was Leonard Dyck murdered? The bodies of the 2 high profile tourists were considerably further away and each found shot to death. The 2 young men had no guns that anybody knew of. Eye witness identification is notoriously inaccurate and based on that and a burnt out RAV4 in Gillam MB, police are conducting a massive man hunt at Gillam MB. Meanwhile, the world watches expecting results in the double murder of 2 young tourists that hasn't shown any connection either to Leonard Dyck or to a manhunt thousands of kilometres away from the scene.

You're assuming we have the same information as the police.

It is an active investigation and the police have released the barest of information for a reason, and laid charges for a reason.

I believe the Sask sighting was a week before the Gillam sighting, so the store probably didn't initially know they had the footage at all.

I'm sure the cops have some pretty solid evidence that they are/were there.
Why are you so sure? The 2 young men could eventually be declared lost and dead in the bog of northern Manitoba. The world that has been watching then satisifed that Canada is a safe place to visit again.

I don't think many of you realise how isolated northern MB is. There is literally one rail line going to Churchill and one road going from Gillam over to Sundance. Gas stations and 7-Elevens, nope.
A trucker I know broke down there and it was EIGHT HOURS before another vehicle came by!
Everyone knows everyone else, and their vehicles, anyone driving a car with BC plates would be a hot topic.
I used to visit a guy in Shamattawa and all his pals called me Fukn Whitey, yeah a pair of snotty incels would stick out!

Varies now
Years ago I was an observer on a search and rescue flight in the area between Thompson and Ilford. It's almost impossible to be found...alive.

Beverly Hills. In the Kitchen eatin' vittles.
Why would they take the vehicle that they surely new was the subject of the investigation, and set it on fire.... here I am !!
Way to obvious, and obviously a distraction. If they wanted to just disappear into that forest, simply remove the vehicle tracking fuses, and ditch the vehicle off the road up there. It probably would not be found for a very long time.
People are not giving these young men credit as being very strategic.
They most likely are not even in that province anymore....
also, what happened to the top cop from Australia here to help our RCMP.

Think outside the box.
Why burn the vehicle? Because they think that's the way to destroy any evidence the car may have contained like blood, finger prints, DNA, etc. and becasue they're not too bright.

Not in the province anymore? Could be. I stated a few posts ago that one option is they had fled the area prior to the cops flooding in. The only issue with that theory is, it has been well established that this is a very isolated community with one road in or out. You can't just go hiking through the woods. And if you do try to walk along a rail bed or hydro transmission line, there is still the issue of the bugs that would eat them alive, wolves, bears, etc. Also I am pretty sure that someone by now would have reported giving these 2 nice young men, who were hitchhiking, a ride. No one or no vehicles have been reported missing so they didn't hijack anyone or steal a vehicle.

The Australian cop is there becasue it was his kid who was killed. He wasn't brought in to help with the investigation. As well a couple of Australian detectives did come with him as well but in cases like this it is more as a courtesy between agencies. They may be superficially involved and certainly briefed but are not actively involved.

Cheers

Military moving in infrared heat sensing equipment on Hercules aircraft. A catch-22 over a Meadow Lake SK grocery store surveillance video. Where did the grocery store clerk get a picture of the 2 young men to know who was on the surveillance video? Did anybody else see any pictures released of the 2 young men prior to airing the surveillance video? Did the burnt out RAV4 even have a BC license tag? How would you like to be the guy who thinks he saw the 2 young men in Gillam and seeing all the police and military moving in for a search? The whole media presentation looks like a military/police exercise that could declare the 2 young men lost and presumed dead. The 3 murders will sit on a back burner the way that Willy Picton's murders sat an a back burner. The world will think that Canada is a safe place to visit again.

Whatever happened to the Jeep Cherokee with the black racing stripe....and the dude with the beard that was seen talking to the couple. Put a cap on Kam and it looks a lot like the description of the guy with the Jeep seen talking to the couple beside the road......

Is it possible that they had two vehicles they were using....?

They were spotted a couple days before the Rav was burned....possible they came to town, scouted out the train schedules then burned the Rav to get all the attention to the area of the Reserve, then jumped on a train out of town.

Just throwing it out there....

For everyone who thinks they made an escape out of the province and are on their merry way -

How far do you get without a vehicle?

If they have a vehicle, how are they fueling it?

If they need food, clothing, fuel, shelter, how are they paying for it?

If they are in contact with anyone, it would have to be by cell. How are they managing that without being tracked?

They dead, I think.

Yup. And good luck finding the bodies in that vast wilderness. Especially if the corpses get swallowed up by the swamp. Just a shame there will be no closure for the victims families.

Tip.. report of sighting near dump at York Landing 200 Km from Gillam. Wow, that’s over 30 km per day on foot in that area where most are saying they would not make it a few days..
They should only respond to actual photo tips.... ( in the last week, they said they have got over 200 tips )

Still say, they are not in that province. They have accomplices
If they were walking as you say, it's much closer to 100km as the crow flies. No evidence/sightings anywhere else, and zero evidence nor suggestion by anyone (besides you) of the possibility of an accomplice.

Wow, just read that story twice , had to... the world is watching this all unfold. Others from world areas would see this report and simply drop there jaw.... that is Canadian RCMP !! A guy in a hoodie......lol
Let’s them go after blowing a stop point because he says Sorry..... wtf... I hope the bear eats him
Guys - those weren't RCMP officers. I know some press outlets called them RCMP, but they were basically tribal special constables (that's my description, I'm not sure what their formal titles are). That particular First Nation village has a no-alcohol rule and they maintain a checkpoint on the road into town to enforce the rule. They weren't aware of the manhunt. They checked the vehicle for alcohol and didn't find any, so they let the guys go.

Even if they had known of the manhunt, they couldn't have done much except phone the RCMP. They were unarmed, weren't in uniform, and didn't have any protective gear. They were just there to enforce a local no-alcohol policy. They did their jobs.

See how easily people will believe bullshit stories.

This guy is part of the local street patrols, and has been giving interviews to anybody who'll talk to him.

His 15 minutes were up a few hours ago.

The search team in Gillam MB are beginning to fatigue with beds and mosquito nets every night and good food to eat. Don't you ever get the feeling that the 2 young men never were in Gillam and that the burnt out RAV4 was done by a local prankster? In the end the mounties will have told everybody in Gillam to keep their doors locked and take the keys out of their trucks when they're not using them, like everybody else in Canada. I'd like to go to Meadow Lake SK and see the inside of the grocery store to verify that its the same store as the surveillance footage. Also an elephant in the room called "Highway of Tears" that has been going on since 1970 and continues with unsolved murders to this day.

Have to admit I'm bit curious as to when they are going to call time on the current efforts in Gillam? If these two are dead in the bush somewhere in the area its it's quite possible they will never be found.
