Do you use your real name when booking?

I was wondering if you use your real name when you are booking an appointment.

I do. No real reason to make up an alias for myself since I've never had a provider ask for my last name. I have a fairly common first name anyways as well

I used to give a name that's similar to my real name and was even my nickname at one point, but then I'd forget and just introduce myself by my real name when I got there. Now I just use my real name.

I book using my work name since that's the one that screens better (my human name isn't very helpful in screening) but I make sure to clarify that I'm hoping to be the client for the session I'm booking (as opposed to when I'm booking a duo and I share responsibilities with the other SW). Works a treat.

When I, "Elsi Dawson", would like to book services from another sex worker, I introduce myself as Elsi Dawson instead of as my legal name. Elsi already has a social media presence they can see. The person I'd like to book knows who they're talking to and can screen me more easily. I understand that sex workers aren't trying to hunt me down so they can ruin my life, they just want to make sure that they'll be safe. When I use my civie name, I'm nigh untraceable (Mama Dawson was in network security and warned us not to use our names on anything "connected to more than a printer").

In booking, I tell them that I'm using my sex work name for screening so they can see who I am. I also tell them I'd like to be a client in this session (I'm paying to enjoy the session, not to work the session). When one does duos with another sex worker, there's behind-the-scene negotiations about rates, hard limits, orientation, general practices, incall, advanced meeting, and prior experiences with the client. "Would you like me to bring anything?"/"No, this client doesn't like toys. Just bring yourself."/"May I shower at yours? I'll be coming straight from class."/"Yup, there's time for that, no issues." By specifying that I'd just like to be a client for this session, I let them use their standard protocols and I'll follow through them like any sensible client would (confirm at this time, address then, text for buzzer, leave an envelope in the basket, quiet entry please... whatever they may have).

And wouldn't you know it? I get by just fine.

I think if the SP has caller ID, your real name will be displayed...
I will always use my fake name, unless I have some crazy special bonding with a SP, which hasn't happened yet.
