This is a really good topic LC. I agree that some of the topics of conversation really stray far away from light hearted fun and banter, some of us would love to see more of. Although I didn’t read each individual comment I can see that sometimes peoples perspective will stay they way they want it to and unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about that. I see the internet itself as a tool and also a weapon. Some people honour it, some people misuse it. Unfortunately we dont always get to see the ramifications behind a screen from our perspective. I agree with you also Rina, not even just the review boards but the internet itself has felt unsafe at times. I can see why the review boards exist and I can see things from the gents perspective at times. Although it would be nice to feel like being apart of a collective community was safer from all the things us ladies arent really infavour of. Descrimination, judgement, mysoginistic remarks to name just a few.
Contrary to some of the comments I read, not all of us hate men and specifically not all of us do this and loath every minute of it. It has its challenges for sure, but one day when I walk away from this industry I know it wont have changed my view on men in a way that is going to forever damage and scar me. In fact I have had some clients treat me better than Ive ever experienced prior to getting into SW, contrary ive also been robbed, drugged and assaulted in this industry. As unfortunately most of us have. To punish all of man kind would be a loss on my part. I would be doing everyone else, but mostly myself a disservice. Do I offset this job with therapy, somatic and spiritual healing. YES.
I could speak the same as to my experiences with women in this industry. You’re going to get good apples and bad apples the point is what you choose to do with those experiences. Are you going to let it jade you and paint everyone with the same brush? Are you going to run to the internet to cut someone down just to make yourself feel bigger and better?
Maybe at some point in my life being jaded looked like a solution but I know there is always room to be better. Treat each other better and grow from our experiences. The world is full of chaos as it is. Who needs a war going on in their damn self because when you treat others poorly that is what you mirror.

YES! I like women. I savour their unique personalities. I enjoy their devine femininity. I respect their choices and adore their sexually liberated energy. And I treat very well the women that treat me well. The few that do not, I simply don’t repeat. For Punt, it is that simple.

Nah, look up how many women have been raped or sexually assaulted, and what being part of the 97% means. Look up how many men have been in jail, look up what percentage of men make up violent offenders. Ask the women in your life how comfortable they are walking down the street after dark, or with headphones on. And that’s not even getting into how many men just have generally misogynistic views of women or talk about them very poorly when they’re not around. Ask the women here how often they have to deal with men who can’t treat women properly, and I’m sure it’s pretty much a daily thing.
