I'm not an English major, but I always try to make sure my ad is well written and informative.

Does a poorly written headline, description, text or email influence your decision to see, or not see, a SP?

This includes poor grammar, misspellings, too many emojis or special characters (e.g. ????, ?????, N££DPART¥, À§ş)

Generally, attention to detail in an ad means attention to detail in lots of other aspects including the service they provide.

Absolutely! I can forgive the occasional speeling ;) error especially since I am not the most proficient keyboard operator and sometimes my fingers don't connect with my brain.
First of all it shows an attention to detail which is usually a good indicator of the individual's performance in other areas of their life/profession.
Secondly because my visits are also about connection, including stimulating and intelligent conversation, I need someone who can use properly grammar and construct a proper sentence as well as comprehend what I am saying.

Cheers
J

The only thing that raises suspicion is spelling and grammatical errors combined with “currently working on my Masters”.

It’s not saying all Masters students have perfect spelling and grammar; it just makes me wonder if this is deliberate padding of the resume, what else might be misleading?

Chuckle chuckle ... When I went to an English private school the Masters were the instructors. Maybe thats what she's wurkin on.

YES Spelling and Grammar are a big one for me. Communication is all important. I dislike mistakes like.. mixing then and than, and things like the overuse of like the word "like" in a sentence.

I don’t mind some spelling and grammatical errors. Sooner see that than an ad that’s so full of fluff I can’t stand to read it.

Spelling errors don't bother me especially if english is not the first language of the provider
I often make a few spelling mistakes myself in communication by not proof reading what I originally sent.

It is really no big deal.

I'm a bit surprised, actually. I thought I might be the only one, but it's looking like I'm in the majority (unless the vote swing the other way between my writing this and your reading it).

Yes, the odd spelling or grammatical mistake can creep into pretty much anything, but.... I am able to overlook them, but they still tend to be a pet peeve of mine. Sometimes I actually send corrections, when I see them, to ladies in an attempt to help them out. (I've even helped at least one by proof-reading her entire site.) Sometimes corrections are welcomed, sometimes not. To me that says something too.

It honestly varies. I find it more frustrating when some SP'a flood their ad with paragraphs of details that aren't relevant to their rates, services, restrictions, location info, and so on than minor grammar mistakes.

An example of a horrible ad that offers no important info:

I want to see SPs who are in control of their lives and who manage their service in a businesslike way. To me a well-written ad indicates that the person is able to sit down calmly for a few minutes and think clearly about what she's writing. That gives me confidence that a session is likely to go smoothly with only the right kind of excitement.

It doesn't have to be perfect. I know some bright, well-organised people who can't spell well. However, they can write a coherent sentence that conveys the needed information.

Spelling errors give me a chuckle. Awhile back a SP said she likes a man who gives her many ORGANISMS. She also likes a man who is FINICALLY secure. LOL.

It's more difficult for a person to proofread their own writing vs proofreading someone else's. On a cognitive level we tend to naturally focus more on the message we're trying to convey.

But if there's typos and grammatical errors galore yet they claim to be working on their PhD, I can understand the suspicion. :spy:

Oh, wait.... "Excuse me miss, before I complete my evaluation of your suitableness to suck my Johnson, could you kindly write out this missive so I can check your spelling?"

If a big-titted blond blonde gave me the eyeball, I would HOPE she could care less about spelling and was more interested in getting down to business.

Not one single girl that I've picked up by sight has spelling been a deciding factor. Non-English speakers can't spell or write worth shit, but they are fun.

In the context of online LeoList ads, bad spelling, freaky emojies, texting abbreviations, awful writing, usually translates into "willing to negotiate" on price and/or time.

The one crazy example from Izabella submitted by lukom, that girl turns out to be a lot of fun and doesn't watch the clock.

It may well be that an impeccably written advertisement is meant to justify a higher price. in that case, such presentations this get far more scrutiny to try to find out how such a unicorn is listing herself on crappy leolist or perb.

State of confusion
A plural subject requires a plural verb.
It should be "Do spelling and grammar..."
