I booked a multi-day date with Maeve and sent her a $2000 deposit to secure the booking. She was hesitant to commit to specific dates and changed the suggested dates multiple times, saying that her schedule was busy and her capacity was limited and she was dealing with personal crises but reassuring me that she absolutely intended to follow through with our date.

Finally, she did suggest specific dates and promised those dates worked for her, and I blocked those dates off in my calendar. She assured me multiple times that I could "rest assured that she is still a go" for those plans.

Ultimately, she did in fact cancel on me after literally months of stringing me along, her reason being that she's "overwhelmed and stretched thin" and that she's "not in a place to hold steady, reliable space" or provide necessary "responsiveness and follow-through."

She further acknowledged to me that she had misrepresented some aspects of her service offerings and scope on her website and informed me that she would be changing her website to remove the misrepresentations; many weeks later, the misrepresentations have still not been removed.

If your goal is to book a session with a reliable provider who will actually follow through on her commitments and show up for your date, and not string you along for months, Maeve is not your person.

That is wild. A 2000 deposit?!? What was the value of the full few days? At that point just fly to Dominican Republic or Thailand or something. Sending a deposit for that amount is insanity.
Yes 2000 deposit is nuts. And yes, i am going back to Thailand in November, CDN 80-100 for 1-2 hrs. I will be saving money

It would seem he paid for the entire session upfront, based on the rates on her site. She's a member here, I'd suggest the OP send her a PM and see if she's going to honor the session or continue with what seems like a blatant scam. Given the way the review was written, a full refund is in order. @MaeveMarlowe

It wasn’t paid for fully upfront; it was a multi day FMTY and a substantial deposit was provided in order to plan it. A refund was provided eventually, but my concern is more about being strung along for months. If I’d known she wasn’t going to follow through, I would have set up a FTMY with someone else and not continued wasting my time planning a date with Maeve that wasn’t going to happen. The issue is her unreliability and making promises repeatedly over multiple months that she then didn’t keep.

Sorry to hear that. I know she had to take a month off to provide caregiving to a relative. I have had good visits with her, but they didn’t involve travel or a lot of commitment other than the date itself.

Full disclosure, my experience was in 2024.

Sessions with Miss Marlowe were fine. However, it was a frustrating process to book an appointment. She would often answer a request weeks after I had reached out.

Ultimately, I told her I was moving on and provided polite feedback regarding her communication. She responded positively and suggested she was taking my advice “seriously”.

I know her email auto responder said she was taking a month off to provide caregiving for a relative, but it was not true. She took a month off for other reasons.

The “taking your advice seriously” thing seems to be a common theme for her. She told me initially (months ago) that my feedback to her had been “a very serious wake up call” and that she would be making changes immediately. Those changes were not made, thus leading to continued spotty communication and eventually a cancellation after months of being strung along.

Hi everyone,

I don’t usually respond to reviews, but I do want to offer some context. This booking didn’t move forward because the kind of expectations and support being requested were therapeutic in nature and ended up being outside the scope of what I can responsibly offer in my role.

As the expectations and needs evolved, it became clear that I wasn’t the right fit for her.

I take my work and my commitments seriously, and I always aim to show up with honesty and care. I wish this person well, as I deeply believe in her deservedness.

She was fully and promptly refunded when it became clear that the expectations where beyond what I have training for and experience with.

I would like to add that this amount was sent to me by the prospective client's own volition. I did not request the $2000.

TBH, it must be hard from a SP’s perspective to accommodate everyone’s personalities and tastes. I’m not suggesting in the least there’s anything wrong with yours. But is it possible the fit just wasn’t there? In any event, I’m glad Maeve returned your payment.

She has also been fully refunded.
And from someone who has been with Maeve on more than one occasion, I’ve been fortunate to have “clicked” with her. In my case, there was a connection and Maeve has been an absolute joy to be with.

Raindrop, I wish you well and hope you are able to find that someone that clicks with you too.

Ok, I am going to allow the reply from Maeve to stay up, even though she is unpaid here, but close the thread.

The OP was disingenuous in not revealing from the start they got their 2000 back. Interesting turn is that the OP is female based on the pronouns used by Maeve, but this thread is, in the end, a clash of opinions, not a ripoff, and it certainly sounds like this wasn't a standard pay for play kind of booking. Both sides have had their say, thread closed.
