Details with reviews - discussion thread

I think Forum Mod is amazing. 10/10 ymmv.

Searching hasn’t been a huge issue for me, except when you hit those long review threads, like looking for someone and a recommendation/review is buried in a side discussion in someone else’s review.

It’s always good to have some discussion on the review threads, folks asking for particular details (was the SP using a four or a five string banjo?) but once it gets too long it’s not useful.

So, how do they get cut off?

We close up review threads if there's a need for more than minor moderation. Flame wars, name calling, the unpaid lady constantly replying. We have anywhere from 2 to 30 or more threads that need moderation every day. If we have to come back to the same one over and over, it's getting locked up. It's a judgement call sometimes, especially if there's a big he said/she said thing going on. There will often be a comment from the mod when it's closed, but not always, depends on the situation and how busy we are.

Another issue that’s been coming up lately is members piggybacking reviews, if you want to write a review about the same girl start a new thread don’t add it to an existing review. If the original review gets taken down for whatever reason yours will disappear as well.

To be clear we’re not saying that piggybacking is against the rules so please don’t report threads that have piggybacked reviews.
