The one by Kingsway and King Edward is pretty good. The one across from the Filippino Market. Was ranked #2 in BC

I've been to a place on Broadway West of the Cambie Canadaline. In there beside a sushi place. Open 24hrs a day and only takes cash. It's my fav place to eat in town.

I used to really like the one on Broadway across the street from Kingsgate mall.

I don't know what number that one ranks at. LOL

Hoi An on 34th and Victoria is very good and specializes in Central Vietnam dishes. The interior design is pretty decent as well, by Vietnamese restaurant standards at least.

If you're interested in pho only, Pho Hong on Kingsway, by Imperial, is the best by far, although the place itself is a dive.

Still lost in the '60s
I eat a lot of pho at a lot of places, and the best I've found is Pho Hong on the north side of Kingsway at 5975, just east of Imperial. They have another location at 6348 Fraser at 47th that I've not been to.

James Barber used to say the one on the east side of Main at around 21st was the best in town, but this was many years ago (he's been dead for quite some time). I found the food extraordinary, although the place was often severely in need of a thorough cleaning. I'm not sure the place is even there any more.

There's one at Crystal Mall, Willingdon at Kingsway that has a wider variety than most. I think it's called Green Bamboo, and it's not in the mall, but there is a street entrance off of Willingdon, across from the gas station. It's quite tiny and it is often hard to find a table during the lunch hour.

By the way, it's not pronounced FOE, but rather the way a British person would say "fur."
