Folks, we have had way too many threads lately that have required our intervention. TLDR: Play by the rules, play nice and don't be a dick
A reminder, mods are volunteers. We only want to encourage and facilitate the smooth operation of the board, within the rules. We are human, and sometimes make a mistake or display a bit of temper when faced with an issue that pushes our own buttons. We don't claim to be perfect. If you want to discuss something, send a PM. When we are wrong, we will edit the post, fix the issue, lift an infraction or ban, make an apology or whatever else is required. Posting things like "where did my post on (insert rule breaking or misplace post here) go?" will only get you another infraction. Attacking a mod, or accusing them of favoritism, taking bribes, power tripping or other such claims will result in a ban in most cases. If you are civil and still don't like the answer given, please do contact Fred Zed.
Some thoughts:
Being positive in a review is nearly always OK. Being negative can be ok too, if done respectfully and honestly. Embellishing a bad session because you are mad she wouldn't offer the service you want isn't either of those things. It's spite and will be deleted, if proven to be so. Do include the rate, general outlines of service levels and other pertinent details. Many reviews get bad reactions for missing these simple and vital items.
Some of you are simply not paying attention, posting 411 in the reviews, or vice versa. We are upping the enforcement of these and while newbies will typically get a break, we have 5 and 10 year members making these basic mistakes. Threads will be moved or deleted based on tenure here, posting volume and other factors, not the least of which is how many threads need attention and how much time the mod has to spare.
Others have clearly not listening when we say stop shill calling. If a newbie posts a review about a provider named Ramona, and someone posts back, thanks for the review Ramona, that person is getting an infraction, or even a ban if they have done it before and not learned to play nice. If you think a post is a shill, flag it. You are not a moderator, let us do the work. In the meantime, don't respond.
If you see a topic that makes your blood boil, or recoil in disgust, think about it before you respond. Do you really think anyone cares that you don't like tattoos, or hate 70s rock music or that you have a detailed opinion about a lady you have never even met? Here's a hint, no one cares. You can just move on to the next thread, there's no need to shit all over someone. Again, if you insist on doing so, you will deal with the consequences. Stow the misogynistic garbage, the name calling and infantile trolling. This goes double for any racism, homophobia, transphobia or other intolerant political nonsense. You are entitled to your opinion. You are not entitled to have anyone have to listen to it or agree with you. Nor are your entitled to your own facts. If you truly want to argue that Trump is god or vaccines are the devil, then do that somewhere else, it's not welcome here.
Lastly, he necro posting epidemic is ridiculous. Leave any thread older alone that has 6 months since the last post. We have had people dig up 15 year old reviews and ask if she's still around. Post a new thread, link to the old one if you like, but leave the ghosts in the graveyard. If it's 6 months and 3 days, we are not going to get too agitated, but those are the minority. Again, stepping up enforcement will happen if people cannot seem to grasp this.
We have rules for a reason and as has been stated here many times, this is not a democracy, nor is this a bastion of free speech. Read the terms and conditions and the user guidelines. You can play by the rules, or you will find that you aren't going to be allowed to play anymore, it's not malicious or personal, it's the mod and admin team trying to build a supportive and positive community.
