It's time to go 100% back to normal. No more testing and care your mental health. Continue to wash your hand. If sick stay home. If you are serious ill. You know what to do.

Stop reporting and playing GOD.

Thanks for illustrating my point - these stats from the extreme right-wing JCCF show absolutely nothing. BS is everywhere.
One stat no one can deny or ignore - typical influenza deaths in BC per year average 20-200 - deaths due to Covid in approx 1 year - 1450.

A death is a death regardless of what you classify it as. Considering we lost a lot of people to overdoses, suicides, and missed diagnosis and operations, there's nothing unusual about our death rates. Canadians are getting older and sicker. 2016 to 2017 saw a similar spike in deaths. 52fjru.jpg Screenshot_20210401-103350.png

If this virus is as bad as they say it is... it would have wiped out all of the homeless on the downtown east side. All they are doing is inflating the numbers by counting all the people who died that were Covid positive as Covid deaths. A 99% recovery rate is NOT a pandemic. It’s just a bad flu.

Notice how it's the brand new 'members' that pop in and post this fucking horseshit.
FFS put your tinfoil hats back on and go back to your momma's basement to watch your favourite foxnews reruns.
Trolls - so many that my ignore button is getting worn out.

Whether its worth the effort I don't know, but sure would be nice if an IP address could be blocked at registration. It's a real first world problem causing annoyance, really nothing else but I don't know, maybe some justice, retribution etc. Would probably make a lot of real members rather happy :)

Why do other people’s opinions hurt you so much? Are you that insecure in your beliefs?

I can't speak for Masterpoonhunter, but lies and disinformation about COVID19 hurts everyone, especially at this critical juncture. It has to be stopped.
Everyone is free to have their own opinion and believe what they want. But when you want to shutdown someone else’s opinion because you don’t like it, that’s called censorship.

Has there been any widespread, or even l multiple cases of Covid traced to any restaurant that instituted expensive protocals, and followed them? As far as I can tell, the biggest spreads have been due to people not following guidelines, and international travel bringing in variants.

How many times has that asshole in Yaletown been arrested for hosting illegal parties, and yet he still keeps doing it. There is either enforcement, with actual penalties, or there is no enforcement.

The illogical, ever-changing rules, and lack of penalties is why more people are tuning out.

I agree, the officials here could do a better job by not sending mixed signals, not letting wishful thinking creep into their decisions, and not being afraid to enforce the rules in an absolutely cold-blooded way.

Have the authorities been too harsh? They haven't been harsh enough! And every time they have succumbed to wishful thinking, they have acted too slow or too weak and the case counts increase. They provide all kinds of data, then ignore their own indicators until after things have gotten bad (again). Every time they've told people to ease up a little, they cause a mad rush of bad behavior, and case counts increase. Optimism consistently leads to failure. Every time political leaders listen to the lobbyists instead of virologists, they close down too late or open up to early and the virus takes advantage. The economy? Holiday traditions? Peoples' hurt feelings? Irrelevant. It's a fucking virus - it doesn't give a fuck what people want or how them feel; it is fucking relentless.

And they have tip-toed too much around the conspiracy nuts and phony civil libertarians, instead of running right over these plague rats. Let them squeak. Their opinion doesn't count. They have the right to hold an opinion, not use it to sabotage everyone else's survival. Yet for all their conspiracy-mongering, the Big Bad Government has thus far been a timid pussycat in how gently it treats them.
