It has been a thing of the past here but recently things have been changing. And, if it could happen here, maybe Vancouver is next. My only experience up there was at Maaage Center in Richmond, and it was not bad. But, each time I returned it was out of order.
This particular SF location is right on the edge of Chinatown (a rather tolerant area) and just outside the financial district. Within 5 minutes walk there are at least 5 TAMP's, many of them very large, one even occupying two floors.
These places are all very busy during the noontime lunch hour with all the offices in the immediate area.
I plan to TOFTT next time I am in the city as I am still hoping to find the same level of service that is available in Philadelphia. There they serve a combo that is hard to beat: table shower followed by an AMP session with the lady who just cleaned you up. Here I suspect it will only be a rub and tug after the shower massage. But, I intend to find out.
