Apparently, guys were calling certain escorts in the Burnaby area for outcalls. They give out their home addresses - which is astounding to me - and then the harassing texts and death threats start. According to the Global news report, the scammers were asking for a grand, or else they'd show up to their homes. Just insane stuff. IMO, if you're gonna do an outcall, just use a hotel or a cheap no-tell motel. Giving out actual home addresses to an SP you've never met is just crazy.
