they used to have those key parties. so if us guys each dropped an envelope in a bowl and the ladies get to pick the envelopes. some may get to meet someone new

We could also have a raffle...
Everyone puts $30 in the pot - 1/2 goes towards a Christmas charity - rest goes towards a lucky winner's "date" for the evening.

We could ask who'd be (sp's) interested in participating as "main prize(s)" and if anyone would be willing to give a "break" (since half is for charity). We do a draw at a specific time (this ensures people get there.)

If there's 15 participants - one main prize
30 means two could win... and so on...

These numbers can be tweaked as you folks see fit - just an idea....

I called the Speak Easy. Private rooms run anywhere from $175 to $250. These include free cover, 2 dancers, bartender, server, and depending on package T-shirt and shot. Staying out in the regular room runs anywhere from free to $95. This includes free cover and reserved table before 9pm, and depending on amount of people a t-shirt, round of shooters, and a spin on the prize wheel. I was thinking of between Dec 11-13? Any other suggestions?

Keep it simple.
You may find yourself with a private room all to yourself.
Just pick a date and a location and hope that some of those who commit actually show up.

I have had a few replies both on here and CAF. I thank you all. I'm leaning more to finding a pub and having an open invination. If you show you show. Also doing a fund raiser for the YWCA womens shelter. I'll bring the pictures of my walk a mile in her shoes. Any suggestions for place or date is welcome. Seems the week of Dec 10-14 might work.

Annalise - you were SUCH A NAUGHTY GIRL at that party (and I even missed the back licking with Daisy). If we get this rowdy again (I hope the guy putting this shindig on knows what he's getting into here), it would be nice to get a "friendly" venue. Too bad the Bent Elbow guy sold. Hey, maybe a hospitality suite in a Hotel?? A 5$ head charge would probably cover, put an IPOD dock in, do a byob and a bucket of ice and the PARTY IS ON!! And it's PRIVATE. I'll PM the organizer and do some digging on this one. Give me some comments.

The Bent Elbow Pub is now changed management and name but it's not coming to me but it is still an option as I know the new owner and a co-worker there but whatever the organizer comes up with is fine just keep me informed and I will be there with bells on and ready to socialize

On the opposite side of the Speakeasy is a pool room, with bueatiful tables. The venue is free, close to naked girls, large enough we would look like a group of civilians, etc etc !!
