lol - no cab - I got a ride from a gent at the bar that wasn't even apart of our gathering ... converted him to our community about 20 mins later, when he drove threw an ATM - lolI believe the party in Canyon Meadows was the year before, but I could be mistaken. We had to get Analise into a cab, lots of flashing, Jessica from Vic made it and a good time was had by all - especially the ladies. What with all the out-of-town girls coming in, I would love to see some of the local providers make this a great networking session for themselves. Don't see much feedback yet, but the Canyon Meadows thing works great as the bar owner is one of the members, I believe. I'm in and I'll try to get Lexi out, but, man, she is just a busy girl and probably doesn't NEED the networking thing.

SpeakEasy is a good idea. One of the things you can do is actually book a Batchelors party there (pretend it's someone's batchelor party) and you'll get a group rate and free entry and a free drink for all of the party guests. You'll even get a free t-shirt.Yoes:
I was at last year's gathering, and actually liked it a lot. The bar last year was fine, but I don't know how a small bar like that will feel about a PERB gathering this year with the ownership change.
An idea might be to get in touch with the Speak Easy/Big Easy or whatever the French Maid branch that is near Glenmore Trail near Center street. Its a big place, with pool tables in the back, video games, drinks, bar food, and lots of room, as long as the party is not on a Friday/Saturday night, and its after about 7PM, as this gives the people going home from work a chance to clear out. If you reserve a few tables in one section, that should be enough. Of course, you will need to figure out how many will be there, but the people on the board can speak up for themselves, and they would need to be reasonably responsible on thier own behalf.
The place is easy to get to, and has a fairly large parking lot as well.
Just an idea.
