I'm having a quiet Christmas this year. That said I still love my Christmas dinner. I'm planning the following.

Butternut squash soup
Roast turkey
Chestnut stuffing
Peas
Carrots
Cranberry sauce
Cinnamon apple sauce
(I have purposely left potatoes off the menu)

Cranberry Christmas pudding
Butter sauce
Shortbread cookies (like I'm sure I'll have room for it)

What are the other Perbites planning for the 25th?

When I was a kid christmas dinner consisted of turkey, mashed potatoes stuffing and biscuits. You know those yummy Pillsbury ones! Of course my mom tried to put some sort of veggie in there. Carrots, green beans or brussel sprouts.
But as a kid I would always cut everything up into pieces then mix it together with the gravy. Usually so I could not taste the veggies.

Oh and usually apple pie for dessert.

Sounds great.
What time should I come over? I'll bring a Jello salad. ;)

My plans changed suddenly, rather than Phoenix for Christmas I have to go to Vegas. I'm in SLC now stopped for a few days on the drive down, the weight of the religion on the air is oppressive :/ they have like half a dozen Temple st's downtown.
Probably meeting a couple jocks from Cali in Vegas, people watching and drinking! I'm sure Christmas dinner will be had at some point... Where does one get Christmas dinner in Vegas? I've never been before, I figure my 30th birthday and Christmas are a good excuse to go.

Oh, I hit debris with my new truck on the interstate :( cracked part of the bumper and lost a fog light :(
This trip is trying to suck but I refuse to let it! I WILL NOT HAVE A BAD DAY.
Good for you don't let the little life happenings bring you down. Enjoy Vegas it is quiet after the rodeo¤ you will love Vegas with all the cowboys. A number of the casinos have big Christmas dinner buffets. I remember being at Mandalay Bay and watched the chief throw out 4 turkeys. Until they got it right. I took a beautiful Polish lady to Vegas for Christmas we stayed at the Aria In a sky suite did some shopping at the mall connected to Hooters. We had dinner at the ballegio watching the water fountains then another night we had dinner at tha plams over looking the strip. We did the helicopter ride into the GC. We also saw phantom of the opera not many people in Vegas at that time. We had a blast. Enjoy.

Most likely I will have breakfast at Denny's on Christmas morning followed by a long solitary walk outside on the deserted streets. Lunch will be in Chinatown (the only part of town that has eateries open for business on Christmas Day) followed by a movie at the downtown cineplex. Dinner will also be in Chinatown followed by an evening walk outside and then I will go home, do the laundry, read a little or perhaps watch a DVD or two and then sleep.
Sounds like my Christmas. I hate this time of the year. I will be in Morocco will spend my time looking over some year end financials. Have some plans for a new plant to review and do some year end end reviews of a number of my key employees. I might order some room service if I feel like a break I might for a walk as well. They know me at the hotel so they know not to mention anything about Christmas. But that is my life!

Christmas.. not sure they're really even is one this year

I am basically one of the homeless.. and have to few family to go to.
with my mom passing away only a month and a half ago.. this will be the first Christmas in 59 years. that she has not been part of my Christmas.

At some point I may have Christmas dinner with my sister and her family.
The usual family members from my brother inlaw . and the usual turkey dinner turkey dinner. Russell sprouts and mashed potatoes. a few different stuff things....And talking about small stuff..
oh and them getting drunk.. i dont drink..

I just have nothing in common with them anymore and haven't for years

Acctually on Christmas day I'll probably still be sleeping in my truck for a while.. maybe go to Denny's or A&W for breakfast.. and look at the empty streets closed doors of victoria..

Merry Christmas
