I think these are the good shit. Althought it taste like shit, these have been around for thousands of years in ancient China and I have to give the Thumb Up for them.

I believe it will cure a lot of diease that the Western Medicine can't or it will take W/M a lot time to cure that sickness.

But be aware that it taste like shit. You need some candies byside you when u taking it.

My excema went away when I was taking them. Too bad I didn't keep it up, because the long term may have restored balance to my system and possibly cured me of it. But yeah, it tastes like the foulest garbage on earth.

Chinese folk medicine is making oour bears extinct

 Why can't they leave our bears alone? Last summer I saw a bear that had been baited and killed just for it's gall bladder. The poachers leave stinky garbage by the road to attract the bear, then they kill it and cut it open to take the gall bladder, which they sell to herbalists in Van for lots of money. they leave the rest of the carcass where they kill it .If you want to eat roots and crap go nuts, but leave endangered wildlife alone.

What an ignorant and stereotypical thing to say.

Chinese medicine isnt all gall bladders and tiger penises as you may hear in the media. But, I doubt that you would really care.

What's ignorant or stereotypical about it? Bears being poached for their gall bladders is rampant in Canada these days and the only reason is for Chinese medicines. In Asia there are virtually no wild bears left.

Be that as it may, they are still killing bears for just the gall bladder. That is pretty senseless. Politically correct or not they still doing it. And the killers have been traced to Chinese herbalists. I don't see bear gall bladders at Shopper's Drug Mart. Of course I know there is more to herbal medicine than gall bladders.

When you make comments that are not based on any fact, or you highly exaggerate something you heard in the media, than that is ignornant and sterotypical. Go get a dictonary and look up those words if you have one, which I doubt.

In Asia, there are at least a few bears left. Look at Western Europe... are there any real wild animals left that are bigger than a rabbit???? What is your point??

I honestly doubt that it is rampant, and I doubt that you or anyone else have any real statistical figures on it. What is true is the hundreds of bears that are shot every year that wander into neighbourhoods looking for a quick meal in someone's garbage.

Second, there has never been any Chinese herbalist ever charged or convicted for trying to buy gall bladders. If there was, show me a newspaper article. The people that are doing the shooting are a bunch of dumb rednecks just trying to see if they can make a few bucks and end up getting caught by the cops.

How about all the "big game hunting" Americans that come up here, and pay big bucks to be a big man and shoot a bear. They have it skinned and than
usually leave the remains to rot. Plus, they usually pick the biggest male or female, thus seriously affecting the gene pool. Are these guys any better?

Is this any better than people that hunt for sport? Recently, there was a show on American big game hunters who came up here to shoot bears, to prove what a big man they were.

They did it by laying bait, than wait for the bear to show up and blow it away with a high power rifle.

It would than get skinned, and the rest of it would usually be discarded. They showed a pit full of bear bones, and rotting carcasses. There was one father and son pair who grounded up the meat to make sausages though.

You can't have lived in Vancouver, in past 20 years many herbalist have been charged with buying gall bladders. If you don't think its true, go down to the sun and provinces archives, you spend a whole day reading. And no I won't send a link. Do your own research before shooting your mouth off. Ive read at least five instances of it happening that I can remember. Gall bladders and bear paws found in freezers in chinatown. I might add that most of the people that sold it to them were white.

There is a big difference between getting a tag allowing you to hunt-but not necessarily kill or even see-one bear per year, and someone who poaches all year round using bait.
"Sport" hunting is tightly controlled, you do not wander out into the bush and blast as many bears as you want. The tags are limited, if caught hunting out of season everything you have can be seized-SUV, guns, binoculars, GPS, just go to a crown auction and see all the goodies for sale. Check out my Leica binoculars and Leica riflescope! And every one of my friends who hunts bear takes the carcass to a meatcutters, they dop not leave it in the bush. Obviously they cut it up and leave the inedible parts behind. And baiting is for pussies and city boys. As far as the rifle goes, well what would you use? Maybe hit it over the head with a rock? At least with a .338 it's dead instantly.
Poachers take only the gall bladder and sometimes the paws. They kill as many bears as they can. In season or out. In fact they like the spring because the bears are easier to kill even if it means the cubs are unlikely to survive without their mother.
You seem to be saying that because some Americans act stupid gall bladder poaching is okay.

Come on guys, this is pointedly what is wrong with Perb nowadays. This thread is about Chinese herbs, not poached bear parts. Start another thread on your rant and let this one help those who may be afflicted with this condition. That is after all what the thread starter was trying to do. The thread is labelled "Chinese Herbs", and I doubt there are many bears going around with that moniker...

Gee MB sorry we don't fit your image of Perb, maybe you should run for Ruler of the Perb and then you could pontifcate all you want about what is wrong. The thread is still on line . Even if you don't think so. Gall bladders are about Chinese herbalists, even if you don't think it is. All the ones in chinatown have antlers ,lizards etc. or do you want to talk just about the leaf stuff?
