I had just picked up dinner and was driving home around 5 pm.... I drove past a child sticking a stick out into traffic... So I drove past turned around and watched in horror as he tried to hit numerous vehicles with his stick... No one slowed down or stopped I stopped across the street from him and yelled buddy stop danger and go home... He dropped his stick and ran... Sadly I did not see where he went as I was going to go to his home to tell his mom or whoever.... It scared me so bad.... I didn't know this was common but apparently it is and this same child had been caught doing this before... Makes my heart hurt... So please be aware of children on the side of the road!!!

You should have grabbed the child and physically take him home and report it.
Top of it you know that this was repeated. He is in danger and not perb members should know about it but somebody who deals with these kind of incidents . Very scary

My kids stopped going to this park, because these two (barely 6, 7 year old) girls, yes, GIRLS, were terrorizing the kids in the park!! So we decided to wait till it was dark, for about three hours straight NO adult came to supervise them. They just ate Nutella out of a jar with their fingers and kept on bossing the little kids around.

I would have loved to talk to their parents, but if the parents aren't there till dusk, I wouldn't know what to do!!!

Things have changed!!!..

I would have grabbed him but had my own child in the car at the time so please don't assume I did nothing I only know about this due to the fact I called rcmp and reported it and they showed up.... So hopefully they found the home....

Not this... you never physically interact with a child that is not your own, without the parents permission. Staying with them and flagging down an officer, who has that authority, might've been your best bet in that case. It was a dangerous situation which could've affected other people, which is a conversation that a police officer might want to have with the parents.

There's no offer in every corner of the street, I'm not exactly sure what's the situation, but as a protective mother, I would not like to see this child sweeped under a car or kidnapped. In my hands he is safe. I wouldn't pick him up, just be with him. But not let his sight go. Probably call 911 too. As I said I'm not sure what's the situation exactly, I just know that I use my common sense to save a child.
A 5 year old should never be unattended !!!!

I actually have to agree with that part...you never know who comes onto this website, it may seem like its harmless because we're all adults, but this website is about prostitution, and IMO some people are extremely creepy out there...not a good idea to point out where to pick up an unattended child, don't know whos out there lurking.

Yeah....I don't think you'd want to grab a kid these days....Or more importantly try to throw them in your car.
You may see an Amber Alert with your plate number on it before you find their house, or get in contact with the Cops.
You may want to intervene with a raised voice, and call 911....

Yeah I agree with the fact that putting it on here wasn't the best idea for the freaks that look for kids t like that... It was more of an awareness to watch for the kids cause I have never seen something like this before. And as for grabbing him I wouldn't put him in my car more of a call the police about him...(which I did) and they responded within minutes.... So its pretty serious and I know there is alot of parents on this board so just please be aware

When you call 911 wouldn't they be able to advise you what is proper to do?

We understand. However, the safest thing to do is instruct the child to sit in a safe place on the sidewalk and alert authorities. Nobody wants to have their attempt to help mistaken for an abduction, regardless... you don't know who's watching. Protect the child, but protect yourself.
