I recommend you go back to her long post you briefly checked (currently post #36 in this thread) and read it all. I find it quite interesting, regardless of specific participants. If you want to catch a fish, first learn to think like a fish.

And as for Beasty who earlier called me a pussie a few posts above in regards to the post Elsi quoted, when I wrote "An other mistake I hopefully will not make again" I was referring to addressing Elsi, or any other woman, as "girl". And not that I have ever called a black person a n word! In fact, because of how I was raised, I am not even comfortable with blacks calling themselves n word. It might be hip (is it still hip?) but I think it is disrespectful to all of the black people that came before them that had to fight for some respect and the right to not be called a n word.

Ms Dawson, I may not be the brightest crayola in the box and so have no clue if your comment was positive or negative , BUT it doesn't matter how I perceive it since it was done brilliantly. There was a lady bartender years ago at my favorite watering hole that possessed a similar talent. Quick thinking and witty , charming and sassy. Pretty sure I am not the only one who looked forward to her crafty ways of putting us boys in our place without being ugly. Heck , most oft we didn't even realize what she was doing, just happy to be getting some of her charms thrown in our direction ! You are a breath of fresh air.

first what’s the point of haggling prices with a lady anyways? She sets the price, so pay it or leave and find someone else in your price range. heck even in that range, what’s a $50 variance matter anyways? Is it really going to break you for that extra bill? It’s an expensive hobby, should’ve been prepared to spend.

On the flip side why agitate the guy by jacking up the price to spite him? Kind of dangerous to toy with a guy, then watch him call yr bluff, set the meet and subject yourself to a face to face confrontation involving more pain in the ass last minute haggling or worse concerning your safety.

As for revealing yourself on being a PERB member, I don’t see it being an issue unless you know you got a bad rep here. I don’t think I have a bad one, at least one that doesn’t marginalize people to the point I’m getting unfair prices.

Warning to all, male, female, or any other gender, paid or unpaid, do not restart this debate in another thread. All sides have had more than enough opportunity to say their peace.

The n word is not something I am comfortable with being used the way it was in this thread, nor will suggestions about stepping into traffic ever be acceptable here. Infractions and bans will be issued when people cannot be civil and have adult disagreements without resorting this these kinds of things.
