Speaking of car advertising, I see many BMW's around town that carries the Brian Jessel sticker on the back. Did they get paid or received substantial discount on their cars? I would never let the dealership put that fugly thing on my car.

I remember the first thing I did when I took delivery of my car was to remove the license plate frame with the dealership name on it and put on a plain black one.

the cars are part of an new advertising scheme. It was on the news about a year ago.

You contract with this ad company to have your vehicle completely plastered with material. You will receive like $350-500 per month for the ad space.

There is a hitch though. One requirement is that you are on the road daily over a large travel area (best for sales people or other service industry people who drive daily to each account) and they will install a GPS tracking unit in your vehicle to verify that the vehicle is travelling all over the place and that you are adhering to the terms of the contract.

Personally, would suck if you had your vehicle set up this way and the tracking records might be subpoenaed by your wife or SO to prove that you have been seeing someone like an SP!!

lol... fugly - I'm assuming this means fuckin' ugly.

I can't remember the company's name. I believe it is based in Burnaby.

You could always leave your number on a car you see and ask them who to contact.

However, don't stick it on a Danon or big beverage ad car as they are likely the sales people for these companies which have major headquarters here.
