That’s crazy in my opinion. I’d tell them to go fuck them selves and get groceries somewhere else.
Dude it's actually for the best. Do you want people spitting all over your fruits and vegetables? There's a lot of people do that shit out of hate and disbelieve that this virus exists. Like some people would cough on others on purpose. Trolls will be trolls.

I rather see a face mask on people and have that false impression of security.

Nobody spits on the produce where I shop, it’s a neighbourhood store. If I actually saw someone doing that guarantee they’d be one sorry piece of shit when I got done with them.

You're not there 24/7. You have no idea whats happening the 99% of the time they're open while you are not there.

if somebody is having mal intention of spitting, it doesn't take a sec to lower down the mask and spit, but it is definitely good in elevators or other crowded places

Two different topics here. One is the malicious treatment of food which the severity of is unknown. The other is wearing a mask when in dense gatherings of random people which evidence suggests may reduce exposure to harmful airborne particles and viruses.

If you see that, please do, there is a growing number of people that is doing that, especially the ones that cough on you on purpose. I think it's disgusting.

It makes it more obvious that they are doing it with places that have cameras. It's how some of them were caught.

No matter their hours you're not there 24/7. How hard is that to comprehend.
Why would I be there 24/7 if it’s not open 24/7? I have been shopping there for 20 years. Never saw anything like that n all that time.

I've lived in the same house for 15 years. A lot of stuff has happened in it that I don't know about. I wouldn't even pretend to suggest what may or may not ever happen at the supermarket around the corner that I've shopped at once or twice a week for 15 years.

You don’t know what happens in your house? You sleep 24/7 or something?

I sure as hell don't spend every hour 27/7 there and didn't bother to install spy cameras to watch what others might be up to while I'm away working and travelling.
Maybe nothing in your neighborhood escapes your all seeing eye but I imagine that sort of supernatural power can also be a curse.

Actually the guy across the street keeps an eye on what goes on in the neighborhood. Let’s me know if anything untoward takes place.

"CDC advises Americans to don facemasks, though Trump says he won’t wear one

"...The new guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention encourages people, especially in areas hit hard by the spread of the coronavirus, to use rudimentary coverings like T-shirts, bandanas and non-medical masks to cover their faces while outdoors.

...Adams, who had repeatedly and publicly advised against the need for face coverings, said Friday that although and he other public health experts initially believed wearing a mask would not have a substantial impact on curbing the spread, the latest evidence makes clear that people who don’t show any symptoms can nonetheless pass on the virus.

“We have told you that from the beginning that we are evolving our recommendations, and new recommendations will come as the evidence dictates,” Adams said.

...First lady Melania Trump embodied the contradictory messaging with a tweet endorsing the new guidance even as her husband chooses to disregard it.

“As the weekend approaches I ask that everyone take social distancing & wearing a mask/face covering seriously,” she tweeted.

...though there remains “scant” evidence that wearing a mask, especially improperly, can protect the wearer, “emerging data suggests facial coverings may prevent asymptomatic disease transmission to others.”

Note that the CDC doesn't actually refer to them as masks...they call it cloth face covers...

I believe the CDC would fully recommend masks if they were actually available

Not necessarily. CDC's stated goal is to slow the spread of COVID-19 from carriers (asymptomatic especially), face covering may do the job just as well. More importantly, a lot of people are struggling financially in the best of times, now more than ever. Many will not have the money to buy face masks.
