...the fuck does THAT say!?!??

I don't think the charges stay on your credit card while they investigate a fraudulent charge and they have every incentive to investigate it as soon as possible whereas with your debit card, since the money in the account is yours they take their sweet ass time.

Maybe get a credit card with a very low limit, like $500 and use it ONLY for online purchases. Read the fine print and try to get one that gives you purchase and theft protection, so if you see the product being sold at a cheaper price within 60 days, they'll refund you the difference. And if the item gets stolen, they'll get you a new one at no charge. American Express is great for this and they even extend the warranty by a year. If you use one of those prepaid Visa cards you buy at the store, you get none of this kind of insurance and they charge you a per-transaction fee PLUS a percentage of the card's value is deducted right off the top.

I cant get a regular credit card .I have collectors after me for 2 that I defaulted on 6 years ago.
I am surprised I still have this Visa debit over draft for on line use.
I just had to move on. When your living out of your truck for the better part of 20 month and they also want to ropo the the truck too paying on a credit card the last thing . But I was making the payment until they decided they did not want to renew them . There mistake to think I could just pay them all the money when I was just living Week to week.

Not to sure if I am any better right now either with covid making it unsafe to do the job I did for the last 6 years

Then don't talk to them or acknowledge the debt...at all! If it's a six year old debt, it's been resold multiple times to various collection agencies and now they're making a last ditch effort to collect whatever they can get. They probably bought it for a fraction of a penny. At seven years old, the debt is uncollectible but if you acknowledge the debt by stating that you own it or make a small payment on it, the clock gets reset and the debt is now collectible for another seven years. When was the last time you made a payment on it?

Shame on you for not taking responsibility for your finances! ? But at this point, only the collection agencies will reap the benefits of you acknowledging the debt so they can permanently go fuck themselves!

I'm sorry you're living out of your truck.

No sorrys needed . I am not living out of my truck now that was 5 yrs ago
I was ok for the last 5 yrs.

As for the debt yes I have just not answered any call .. Theres not much o can do about it anyways.

Yes I should of looked after my finances better and payed back what I used on my card. I had managed to do that a number of times. But last time they kind forced the hand I just had to say it was not possiable .
The problem is I know a number of people that had great businesses and made lots of money through the years and they ended up owing a lot more then me .
You never know .

Right now there are a lot of people facing the same thing. Not there fault but they just weren't prepared a pandemic

It very hard for local retailers to match prices for leather bomber jackels that are at 25% to 30% the cost of buying in Canada. I am talking $80 go $100 compaired to $400 or more in Canada.
I use to buy my jackets at Daniier when they had sale. Then they were about $250
Allthough I have found some good prices on Amazon.ca , but I think they still have to be shipped from the US or probably made somewhere else

Also when you think you are buying g leather ,you need to check the description . A lot of site use pictures of top line produces but there fakes and usually will say PU leather or a number if other terms for plastic

Some of my older leather jackets I got 25... 30 yrs ago. And still In very good shape . Just need some refreshing up any touch up on skufed edges .
And I never played more then 250 for them .
I can't even think of paying 1000 or more .or 5000. Like I have seen prices for.
Fair enough comments ... Research is important in the process and hopefully after all true costs are weighed up in local comes out on top.
