InTheBum, LAG and a couple of the boys;) trying not to get caught on tape after "frolicking" in the fields

Who would have guessed? I must say though, InTheBums new work out routine has really been paying of for him. The gut he use to rest his beer on has all but disappeared;)

Ok...back to the amortization concept...well sort of...when my husband and I were still students and we were living in Toronto doing our co-op program's work placements, I was working in the manulife centre on Bloor and Bay...Hubby was working for a theatre company...we were earning intern honourariums of $500/month each....rent was $800 and TTC passes were about $150 for two...we were living on credit cards and student loans...

I always was a label freak and had a couple in my family whose his and her vanity plates read EARN (his) and SPEND (hers)...I grew up well indoctrinated....so when European Jewellery (now closed) had their annual boxing day sale, I was overjoyed to discover that the men's and ladies Baum and Mercier stainless tank watches were on sale for half off....I felt extremely fortunate to have caught this amazing sale and bought one of each....they were for us to start the new year and our new careers...besides, how often does one get to make a purchase like that? I figured since the regular price was $1800 each...this was like getting one free!!! I brought them home that night...

My husband hit the roof!!! I cried and couldn't understand how he could be upset when I paid so little...they were quality, classic watches, perfect for everyday...I just didn't get it...after all, we would have them for years and years....it was the first and one of the only times he ever said no to me and stuck with it...I returned them the next day...In tears I explained the situation to the manager who graciously returned my money even though, bi rights, he should have given me a credit note...he didn't want to see newlyweds get divorced in their first year LOL...this became a story that I have told often over the years....

Katlyn....pay off your student loan....the rest will come...:) it certainly has for me :D:p ;)

Oh yes...now, there are very few labels I MUST have...for the most part I'm a vintage freak and I guess that and Christian Louboutin shoes are my only shopping vices...

The thing about Burberry....if you were in Highschool say 15 years ago and some aunt sent you a shirt that looked like a Burberry style shirt.
You would never wear it.

Flash 15 years ahead, put a hefty pricetag on, and its a cool shirt

No wonder the jeans were so cheap: joseph abaud is clearly a knockoff of Joseph Abboud! :D

But seriously, Joseph Abboud's stuff isn't so great when you consider even mainstream retailers are selling his stuff now. He's licensed a lot of things under his name and what that means is that various factories can now make clothing and just slap his name on them simply because those factories have paid him a licensing fee. Abboud himself has not personally seen nor even designed those clothing items. Those items are specific to those factories only and the only difference is, rather than putting the factory's own labels on them, they now feature Abboud's label. I've seen Abboud stuff at Winners for cheap and trust me, if you were to check out the Joseph Abboud boutique in New York, you won't find an Abboud shirt retailing for only $29.99.
now that everything is 70 percent off ya but here in canada to import them they are online for 189 plus shipping plus there is a particular jean from him i like wit his best jean material. They are way better then my diesel or armani jeans, way better fabric.

Okay okay, I doubt I will ever shell out that much money on a piece of clothing but I am in LOVE with a Jacket I saw in the window at Burberry. I WISH I could justify being extravagant but all I can think is "hmmm...pay my student loans off 6 months faster, or own a jacket?"

I have always loved Burberry clothing, I don't know what it is...them and also Givenchy.

For those that are into designer labels (whether you buy or just window shop like me), who do you covet?

Just curious. May I ask how much that jacket is? Holt Renfrew might have big sales soon including Burberry coats jackets!:D

Not sure, I never went into the store to look at it and they took it out of the window. Now I am lusting after a leather Gucci jacket :D

mmmmmm...yummy skin!

My fave designer is
Christain Dior, but, his '50's collection.

I have a small waist, sway back, and big ass, so nothing fits me off the rack. Altering the waist is a waste, and also, buying to fit the hip size means too much 'sideways' where I am slim, and still not enough in the back....very shitty!

I have to have custom made...

Love the textiles of Burberry, reminds me of clothing in the 'Victorian' magazines.

I dislike wearing anything anyone else owns, and I would not wear an article of clothing with a designer logo on...

The very best pants I ever owned were military cotton Khaki shorts, snug waist, smooth over the ass, firm hold!

Most off the rack pants today do not seem to be cut properly on the grain and cannot be ironed with a crease down the middle...a must! And the 'hang' is just wrong!

luv the ads...very much eye candy!

U guys are losers. I prefer the elite line of:

1. Joe Fresh
2. LA Gear
3. Any square cut t shirt that says ALASKA on it
4. And anything I can bedazzle

Peace out.
Coming to the end of my semester and being very light on the pocketbook, I actually browsed through the clothing at Superstore and got myself the cutest skirt. It looks like it could have been from H&M, but it was $20 and oh sooooo cute!!
