VANCOUVER — She was murdered and tossed aside into the cold waters of the Fraser River.
Vancouver police have now identified the city’s 15th homicide as a 41-year-old sex trade worker.
Her name is being withheld while police try to contact her family.
The woman’s body was pulled from the water Thursday night after a man walking along the shore in the 9100-block Bentley Street made the grisly discovery.
Staff in the Downtown Eastside building where she lived reported her missing after she didn’t return home for several days.
Investigators believe she was last seen on July 10.
An autopsy conducted on Friday confirmed the woman had met with foul play, but police remain mum on how she was slain.
